Magpul Releases Hunter Lite Stock for AXIS Rifles

Magpul has announced the Hunter Lite Stock for Savage AXIS Short Action is available and shipping. The new Hunter Lite Stock was designed and purpose-built for the Savage AXIS and AXIS II rifles chambered with short-action calibers.

The Hunter Lite builds off the original Hunter stocks and reduces the weight and dimensions for a more streamlined look, coming in at 20% less weight and 25% narrower overall. The Hunter Lite stock has enhanced ergonomics with adjustments for length of pull thanks to the four removable half-inch spacers and height of the comb with included snap-on 3/8-inch cheek risers.

Those aren’t the only noteworthy features of the new Hunter Lite. Constructed from extruded aluminum, the V-betting block employs reinforced steel action screw pillars for extra rigidity that keeps the stock from compressing or deforming while the weapon is being shot. Additionally, the stock can be swapped for right- to left-handed shooters with an easy swap of the inlet insert on the stock. The stock also features integral sling swivel studs on both the buttstock and the forend, and M-LOK slots to easily add bipods and other accessories for fast customization of the stock.

Rounding out the features of the Hunter Lite stock for the Savage AXIS and AXIS II short-action rifles is an enlarged trigger guard that allows better access to the ambidextrous magazine release and has been designed to be used with gloves. The integrated magazine well with stamped steel magazine over-insertion stops is compatible with AICS-patterned magazines (which are not included with the stock).

The Magpul Hunter Lite stock is compatible with barrel profiles up to a Medium Palma and can be ordered in Black, FDE, Stealth Gray, and ODG. The USA-made Hunter Lite stock for the Savage AXIS and AXIS II rifles has an MSRP of $219.95 and is available now.
