FN SCAR 15P: Pint-Sized SCAR

The FN SCAR is a fantastically popular firearm with an almost cult-like following. Of course, there’s good reason; the SCAR is a reliable, accurate platform capable of withstanding serious use. If you’d rather not run a full-sized SCAR, there’s always the FN SCAR 15P, the pistol variant of the SCAR family. The FN SCAR 15P is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and features the same piston-driven system as the full-sized gun. It is made to be highly maneuverable, versatile, and portable, for a wide variety of applications. This is a pistol that makes a fantastic truck gun, a solid home defense firearm, and a fun range gun. Thanks to its 5.56 NATO chambering and accuracy, it’s also a viable option for hunting small game and predators like feral hogs and coyotes.

This pistol has a 7.5-inch barrel that’s hammer forged, chrome-lined, and free-floated, all of which increase longevity. The barrel has a three-prong flash hider and is made to be the right length for the ideal blend of superior maneuverability and accuracy. It also has dual, ambidextrous charging handles, so it can be operated by left- or right-handed shooters.

The receiver is made from hard anodized, monolithic aluminum and the handguard is in the quad Picatinny rail style. A non-reciprocating bolt carrier assembly makes it possible to run this gun from a variety of positions. Overall, this is a pistol with well-thought-out features that promises exceptional durability.

This is an ultra-compact 5.56 NATO pistol made for dedicated use. FN offers it in either black or Flat Dark Earth. The gun ships with either a 10-round or a 30-round magazine. It has an overall weight of 5.65 pounds, a length of 19.75 inches, and a short-stroke gas piston system.
