The VEPR 12 is a Russian-made semi-auto shotgun, modeled after the time-tested RPK LMG and AK-47 designs. Unlike the AK-47, the VEPR 12 sports a last round bolt hold-open mechanism, locking the bolt to the rear after the last round has been ejected for improved reliability and quick visual indication of an empty magazine or failure.
