About the Ruger Precision Rifle
The Ruger Precision® Rifle is a magazine-fed, long-range, bolt-action PRS rifle, specifically engineered for tactical and competitive long-range target shooting applications. Mounted atop a user-adjustable Ruger MSR stock with multiple QD sling attachment points, a factory-mounted lower Picatinny rail, and soft rubber buttpad, this centerfire rifle offers unparalleled comfort, control, and stability. The left-folding stock hinge is attached to an AR-style buffer tube and accepts any AR-style stock. The upper receiver is precision CNC-machined from pre-hardened 4140 chrome-moly steel for enhanced strength and reliability, while the aluminum lower receiver offers improved strength and reduced bulk for quick deployment. The free-float handguard features multiple MLOK® slots on all four sides for versatile field service and speedy installation of compatible accessories. An oversized bolt handle offers intuitive bolt manipulation, and the 5/16"-24 thread pattern allows for simple removal, installation, and replacement.

Fed by a reliable, AICS-style magazine, the Ruger Precision rifle boasts a reliable 3-lug bolt with a 70° throw for ample scope clearance and speedy manipulation, while the dual cocking cams and a full diameter bolt body ensure smooth cycling in high-stress scenarios. The Ruger Precision also boasts a cold hammer-forged, chrome-moly steel barrel with 5R rifling promising superior accuracy at extended ranges. Better yet, this long-range precision rifle features an in-line recoil path, engineered to manage recoil from the rear of the receiver to the buttstock for additional accuracy and enhanced stability under heavy recoil.

What Does “PRS” Mean?
PRS is the abbreviation for the world-renowned Precision Rifle Series championship shooting series and is synonymous with the more widely used “Precision Rifle Shooting” name. Derivative of military, law enforcement, and hunting long-range scenarios, PRS shooting applications intentionally test the patience, discipline, and mental and physical control of the shooter, forcing shooters to overcome extreme distances and weather conditions. While the sport has been around for decades, it has recently seen explosive growth among former snipers, retired law enforcement, and youth shooters.

What is an AICS-Style Magazine?
