About the FN Hi-Power Pistol
Originally introduced in 1935, the FN® Hi-Power® is a single-action, semi-auto handgun, chambered in either 9mm (9x19mm) or .40 S&W. Seeing service in virtually every major conflict since WWII, the Hi-Power is a tried-and-true sidearm, trusted by civilian shooters, collectors, military personnel, and law enforcement agencies across the globe. Built around a forged steel frame and slide, the Hi-Power boasts a fixed, low-profile three-dot sight design, engineered to deliver quick, intuitive target acquisition in any fast-action environment.

In 2018, FN® ceased production of the authentic Hi-Power for the first time since its inception, citing declining sales and high production costs as the primary concerns. However, after nearly 4 years out of production, FN announced they would resume production of the Hi-Power under the name “FN Hi-Power” at the 2022 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, NV. The new Hi-Power pistol incorporated several performance-enhanced and modernized features, including improved ergonomics, ambidextrous controls, an elongated ejection port, and improved takedown pins for faster field stripping and more reliable cleaning. Though the design is more than 80 years old, the Hi-Power has become a cult classic among civilian shooters and law enforcement agencies worldwide. In fact, the Hi-Power has seen service in more than 100 countries across the globe.
