About the CZ 75 SP-01

Designed as a military and law-enforcement duty sidearm, the CZ® 75 SP-01 improves upon the CX 75 P-01 with improved ergonomics and improved technology. Rubber grip panels combine with an extended beavertail to provide a deeper, more secure grip for positive handling. Further, new grip geometry in key areas on the front and back straps and redistribution of mass thanks to the accessory rail help reduce felt recoil for faster follow-up shots and improved target acquisition. Further, an integral 1913 accessory rail gives you plenty of space for your favorite weapon-mounted lights and laser sights while CZ’s corrosion-resistant black polycoat finish and solid steel frame offer protection in even the harshest of environments.

This single-action/double-action pistol features a fiber optic front sight and serrated fixed rear sight on the full-sized version while the low-capacity version boasts a fixed three-dot sight so you can experience quick, intuitive target acquisition in fast-action tactical and target-rich environments. What is single-action/double-action?

Single-action/double-action, or SA/DA, is a hammer-fired pistol that can be operated as a single-action or as a double-action. These pistols give you the best of both worlds when it comes to how they operate. With a single-action pistol, you have to first pull the hammer all the way back and then pull the trigger to release it and fire the gun. When the hammer is in the firing position, this gives users an incredibly light trigger pull. On a semi-auto single-action pistol, users only have to pull the hammer back once and then they can start firing until the mag runs out. The semi-auto action pushes the hammer back into the firing position every time it cycles a round into the chamber so users can get that light trigger pull each shot.

Another benefit of a SA/DA pistol is users can also fire their gun with double action. Double action allows you to pull the trigger which pulls the hammer back simultaneously. Once the trigger breaks, the hammer falls forward and fires the round. This is perfect for concealed-carry and allows users to carry without having to worry about having a hair trigger with the hammer back while their pistol is tucked in their inside-the-waistband holster.
