Beretta 85 Magazines

About the Beretta 85
Chambered in .380 ACP, the Beretta® 85 is a single-stack concealed-carry pistol, engineered to deliver deep concealment and unwavering reliability in a compact, easy-to-carry package. Built around a reliable SA/DA trigger system, the Beretta 85 boasts a short recoil design with a full-steel alloy frame and open-top slide, engineered to withstand heavy use and abuse in dusty, wet, sandy, and other corrosive environments. The Beretta 85 also features multiple internal safeties, including a firing pin block that prevents the firing pin from moving or striking cartridge primers without the trigger being pulled, and a firing pin striker, engineered to rotate and disengage when the safety lever is engaged to prevent the firing pin from contacting primers, even if the hammer falls, for safe, confident carry with a round in the chamber for quick deployment and enhanced reliability. This compact pistol features an ambidextrous thumb safety lever that offers simple control with both left and right-handed users for superior versatility and reliable field service in any environment.

Compact vs Full-Sized Pistols

In today’s world of firearms, you can find different-sized pistols ranging from micro-compact all the way to full-size and each has its own advantages. So when it comes to deciding on what size you need to think about what you’re going to use the pistol for. Full-sized pistols are handguns with a barrel length of 4.5” to 5.5” long. These pistols are ideal for home defense, range practice, and for use as a duty weapon. The bigger size and heavier weight make recoil management easier which makes practicing easier. The one drawback is you can be limited when it comes to concealed-carry. If you’re wanting to carry inside-the-waistband (IWB) then you might want to consider something smaller than a full-sized one. Outside-the-waistband (OWB) concealed-carry is usually easier with a full-sized pistol because you have more room to work with. On the other hand compact, or carry-size, pistols have a barrel length of 3.5” to 4.5”. Their smaller size lends itself to making IWB concealed-carry easier and allows for more comfortable everyday carry.
