There are a lot of handguns out there that ship from the factory in flat black, so it’s always nice when there are options for various colored finishes. The Springfield Armory XD-M Elite OSP 10mm is offered in the requisite black, but also in Magpul OD Green. The muted green Cerakote finish on the gun is a great option for handgun hunters interested in blending in while out in the woods and also good for gun owners who simply want a change of pace.

This highly capable 10mm, offered with an H-232 Magpul OD Green Cerakote finish on the slide, redefines what you should expect from a modern, striker-fired firearm.
Built on a solid foundation, the XD-M Elite 4.5″ OSP 10mm combines impressive capacity with powerful performance. The 4.5″ match grade Melonite finished barrel maximizes ballistic performance, and the highly ergonomic frame houses a double-column stainless steel magazine that provides a 16-round capacity. Two magazines are included with the pistol.
As an Optical Sight Pistol (OSP), the new XD-M Elite 4.5″ 10mm features a removable seamless cover plate that reveals a mounting interface for the optic of your choice. This is accomplished through the use of available mounting plates. Topping off its forged steel slide is Springfield Armory’s excellent Tactical Rack U-Dot rear sight, featuring a u-shaped white outline that works with the high-visibility fiber optic front sight.
This gun is optics ready and has a 16 +1 capacity. Whether you’re a handgun hunter, interested in self-defense, or want a solid range gun in 10mm, the Springfield Armory XDM Elite OSP in 10mm is a solid choice. The Magpul OD Green finish helps conceal the gun more effectively while out in the woods and is also a nice aesthetic touch. Grips on this pistol are aggressively textured for a firm grip, even with wet or sweaty hands, and the slide has both forward and rearward angled serrations. The barrel length is 4.5 inches and is made from hammer-forged steel with a Melonite finish.
Other features include a Matched Enhanced Trigger Assembly (META), a removable, flared magwell, and a squared-off trigger guard. The manufacturer promises the META trigger has a crisp, clean break, and states it has an overtravel stop. Although this is an optics-ready model, it’s important to note it does not ship from the factory with a red dot sight.
