SHOT Show 2024: Rossi R95 Now in .45-70 Gov’t

Rossi USA reintroduced their high-power lever-action rifle in 2023 with the R95 chambered in .30-30 Winchester. That deer-ready five-shooter comes with traditional walnut stocks and black oxide finished steel. Rossi followed that up with the R95 Laminate and Triple Black in the same caliber. And, new for Shot Show 2024 is the Rossi R95 in .45-70 Government.

The R95 in .45-70 is Rossi’s take on the Guide Gun. Handy, quick to cycle, and chambered in a round that will stop just about anything in its tracks. The new R95 in .45-70 comes with a traditional walnut stock and carbon steel alloy finished in a black oxide.

The rifle features 5+1 capacity in the magazine tube as well as an enlarged loading gate for quick top-offs in low light. While it comes with a notch and post arrangement for iron sights, the R95 .45-70 is tapped and drilled for the optics mount of your choice.

Rossi did their due diligence by conforming the dimensions of their rifle to the growing list of accessory rails, handguards, and grips now available for a multitude of lever guns. The R95 .45-70 is not one rifle but a family: a version with a 16.5-inch carbine barrel, a mid-range 20-inch barrel, and a longer sporter profile 22-inch barrel.

The new Rossi R95 .45-70 family makes its debut at Shot Show 2024 and is in the process of shipping to shops near you. The MSRP on all of these models is $1,060.99.
