SHOT Show 2024: Primary Weapons Systems Launches Modular UXR Rifle

Modularity could be seen as the next best thing to true customization – and perhaps even better as it allows changes to be made to suit one’s future needs. Primary Weapons Systems (PWS) understands the concept of modularity and is proud to announce the release of the UXR – the User Xchange Rifle. Providing revolutionary, unparalleled modularity, it will be available early this year in 5.56 and 300 BLK variations, while the UXR platform will expand to include .308 Winchester and 8.6 BLK configurations.

PWS UXR
The PWS UXR is built around the concept of modularity.

The UXR platform is based around the patent-pending Xchange system, where its upper receiver is the only serialized part of the entire setup. This enables the operator to easily transition from configuration to configuration, and even caliber to caliber. At the same time, it also features an incomparable look and feel that combines functionality, ergonomics, and aesthetics into one platform.

Adaptability is also the core principle of the UXR, as it is showcased in the many customizable features that include an adjustable buttstock able to fold left or right, an adjustable cheek plate, an ambidextrous-able selector switch, magazine release, and even the placement of the charging handle.

The UXR platform further offers a proprietary internal operation, its “modified long-stroke piston system,” which allows the rifle to adapt and perform flawlessly with any UXR barrel regardless of caliber. This enables the user to swap calibers and barrels without needing to adjust the gas system every time. Moreover, the newly designed Bore Evacuator reduces back pressure, especially when a suppressor is being used.

Presented at SHOT Show 2024, the UXR will be available later this year. MSRP to be announced.
