Smart phones are great when they work. However, when they don’t and communication is key, you’re in for trouble. For those circumstances where a phone will not suffice, consider a good two-way radio set. New for 2024 is the Bushnell LPX line of two-way radios.
Bushnell partnered with the leading tech company, ShineFlex, to introduce the new LPX550 and LPX650 two-way radios. Both models operate on a two-watt output and feature a built-in LED flashlight, five-level VOX, NOAA weather notifications, and vibrating alert. The LPX550 has an IPX2 water resistance rating with a range of up to 36 miles. The Bushnell LPX650 has a waterproof rating of IPX67 and the added advantage of being buoyant. This model has a range of up to 42 miles.
Bushnell also offers the LPX150 and LPX350 models. The LPX150 has a half-watt output and five-level VOX with a range up to 20 miles. The LPX350 operates on one watt with an IPX2 rating, five-level VOX, and NOAA alerts. The LPX350 has a range of up to 25 miles.
All Bushnell LPX models use rechargeable batteries (OR conventional AA batteries) and include a charging port, USB-C cables, and belt clips. The Bushnell LPX series is shipping now with an MSRP of $39.99 for the LPX150 up to $129.99 for the LPX650. For your next off-the-grid adventure, give these a look.
