SHOT 2024: All-New Burris Eliminator 6 Rifle Scope

Burris Optics has released five generations of their popular Eliminator range-finding rifle scope. Instead of a few new tweaks for 2024, the company opted to release an all-new and completely redesigned Burris Eliminator 6. The newly streamlined scope was likewise developed to provide hunters the utmost confidence to make the right shot under the toughest conditions.

As with past versions, the Eliminator 6’s foundation is built around a contemporary rifle scope chassis and modern profile featuring objective and ocular bells aesthetically balanced around the robust 34mm tube. The aggressively knurled cap and adjustment knob design delivers no-slip operation even when wearing gloves. Meanwhile, parallax and illumination adjustments are conveniently located on a conventional turret-style knob that also contains the range activation and brightness button array.

The Eliminator 6 now offers instant and precise ranging out to 2,000+ yards on reflective targets and 1,400 yards on deer hide. It also offers environmental monitoring with a built-in thermometer, barometer, and inclinometer. The riflescope measures density altitude automatically or, if selected, manually. From this, the Eliminator 6 selects the ballistics solution from a previously calculated database drawn from the Burris Connect app.

The Burris Connect mobile app builds the ballistic solutions and uploads them to the scope. Correspondingly, Wireless Bluetooth connectivity between the scope and user’s mobile device provides an internal DOPE card in the Eliminator 6 combining ranging, environmental, and ballistic data to achieve the perfect shot. Users can also create profiles with factory load data or completely custom – covering firearms from muzzleloaders and slug guns to precision rifles.

The Burris Optics Eliminator 6 is built around a contemporary rifle scope chassis with a modern profile.

The digital DOPE card displays the holdover aiming point on the illuminated X177 reticle for precise aiming solutions. When combined with the reticle’s windage hold-off points, the Eliminator 6 offers a massive 177 aim points with 1/5 MOA precision to ensure reliable point-of-aim/point-of-impact performance.

The Eliminator 6 also presents up to 10 data points divided into user-selectable zones. In addition, the ranged distance and wind hold value are user-interchangeable. The rifle scope also offers a ShotCall Marker (SCM). The SC includes bullet velocity and bullet energy at the ranged distance. Embodying the “Hunt Responsibly” ethic, these features notify shooters when the shot distance may be too far and/or velocity/energy too low for an ethical shot. The SCM displays an “X” if the user-defined ballistic terminal performance is inadequate at the ranged distance.

To maximize optical clarity and minimize chromatic aberrations, the Eliminator 6 features extra-low dispersion (ED) glass. In addition, fully multi-coated lenses deliver a remarkably crisp optical view with superb low-light transmission. This enables shooters to easily see the target in early morning and late evening light as well as the foulest weather conditions.
