New: Viridian RFX45 Green Dot

Red dot sights are commonplace whether at the range or on carry guns. Of course, while they’re regularly referred to as red dot sights, or RDS, they don’t only come in red. Dot sights with green dots rather than red are gaining popularity, and for good reason. Not only are green dot sights more visible in daylight, they’re easier for many eyes to detect, especially for those with astigmatism. Now Viridian has a new green dot available, and it’s designed with serious shooters in mind.

The Viridian Weapon Technologies RFX45 Closed Emitter Green Dot Reflex Sight is the latest addition to the company’s RFX line of green optics. The RFX line was introduced in 2021 and has quickly become popular. It’s been designed from the ground up for the purpose of enhanced performance, including facilitating rapid target acquisition. Viridian Vice President of Sales, Andy Scott, said:

Eyes see green better, and the RFX45 is a workhorse that comes standard with a lot of technology designed to benefit the shooter. The RFX line as a whole has been well received by our customers and consumers because of the features of each optic coupled with green dot technology. As with all Viridian products, we started with the design and put features and specs into these offerings to make them stand out in the market.

The RFX45 weighs in at 1.73 ounces, meaning it doesn’t add unnecessary weight to the user’s gun. Its dimensions are 1.9 inches by 1.1 inches by 1.13 inches. The dot is powered by one CR2032 battery. It has an ACRO footprint and Viridian currently offers mounts for low and high witness as well as adapters for the Glock MOS, RMR, and Docter.

MSRP for the Viridian RFX45 is set at $459.00.
