Hi-Point’s New 9mm Yeet Cannon Makes Its Debut

Hi-Point Firearms, by way of their distributor MKS Supply, has announced the release of the Hi-Point YC9 pistol. The 9mm Yeet Cannon pistol, named by the contest “The people’s pistol — name our nine,” has been much anticipated and said to meet the needs of enthusiasts to professionals alike.

The YC9 is Hi-Point’s top-tier 9mm pistol that comes from the factory with a threaded 4.12” barrel, so it’s suppressor-ready out of the box. If suppressors aren’t your thing yet, the 1/2×28 threads will accept a compensator or other muzzle devices for a more personalized shooting experience. The barrel is said to be a precision-crafted barrel that features 3 LH twists for better bullet stabilization, accuracy, and more precision shot after shot.

“As a brand committed to innovation and customer satisfaction, we are delighted to introduce the Hi-Point YC9 9mm Handgun,” said Kara Boesenberg, EVP for MKS Supply. “This firearm incorporates many extra features, our goal is to set a new standard of understanding when it comes to affordable firearms. Furthermore, we believe in providing handguns for any American who wishes to protect their family, despite their income level. We are confident that the YC9 will exceed the expectations of both our loyal customers and firearm enthusiasts worldwide.”

According to Hi-Point, the YC9 handgun has a Glock-style replacement front sight on the newly stylized slide and features new stylized grips on the frame for an updated look. Also, the top of the slide is adaptable for mounting a red dot plate and optic for additional customization for the shooter. Other features include the reversible backstraps for a better fit and the backstrap safety.

Overall, the handgun weighs just over 34 ounces unloaded, is 7.6 inches long, and 5.8 inches wide, so it makes a good fit as a carry option. Not only that, but the pistol is rated for +P ammunition so it can handle either self-defense rounds or FMJ. According to Hi-Point, the overall weight and size of the pistol help mitigate recoil.

The Hi-Point YC9 9mm handgun has a 10-round capacity magazine and can be purchased with or without a threaded barrel. For those that really like the name, there is a model available that can be bought with “YEET CANNON” engraved on the side. The black YC9 pistol has a starting MSRP of $229.

Patti Miller is one of the most awesome females in the tactical/firearm (or any) industry. Imagine a tall, hawt, dangerous Laura Ingalls Wilder type with cool hair and a suppressed blaster and you'll be getting the idea. What's interesting is that in addition to being a willing brawler and intrepid adventuress, she's also an Ent/Ogier level gardener and a truly badass baker.
