Franklin Armory’s “22plinkster Edition” Binary Trigger

Franklin Armory, a manufacturer of firearms, parts, and accessories, has released its newest Binary Firing System Third Generation, or BFSIII, trigger with the 22plinkster Edition drop-in trigger for the popular Ruger 10/22 rifle. The complete 22-C1-P trigger pack is the product of Franklin Armory and the YouTube trick shooter, 22plinkster.

“Trick shooting with the .22-long rifle is fun, but shooting with a Binary trigger is the biggest blast you can have with a 10/22,” said 22plinkster. “I’m super excited to partner with Franklin Armory to help spread freedom and fun around these great United States of America with their innovative Binary trigger system.”

Features and Specs

The Franklin Armory “22plinkster Edition” trigger pack is made from a proprietary billet aluminum housing with the popular 22-C1 trigger installed. The trigger pack has all the functional parts of the three-position BFSIII trigger. Position One is safe. Position Two is semiautomatic, and Position Three is Binary.

In Binary mode, a single round fires when the trigger is pulled and another single round fires when the trigger is released. As an added safety measure, the Binary mode can be canceled manually by moving the selector off the third position before releasing the trigger. Obviously, with that Binary third position, the trigger pack is not legal for civilian ownership in the following states: CA, CT, DC, DE, FL, HI, IA, IL, MD, NJ, NY, RI, or WA.

Users of the BFSIII 22-C1-P trigger pack will experience a positive reset during the trigger release phase of shooting. According to Franklin Armory, the “22plinkser Edition” works in most Ruger 10/22 rifles. The company recommends that the group be installed by a knowledgeable gunsmith.

The company states the trigger pack is a perfect fit for competition shooters, tactical shooters, and recreational shooters alike, emphasizing it is the most fun you can have with a .22. The Franklin Armory BFSIII “22plinkster Edition” 22-C1-P trigger pack has an MSRP of $469.99. For those users of the 22-C1 trigger packs looking for the upgraded trigger housing, it can be purchased separately as well with an MSPR of $99.99.

Patti Miller is one of the most awesome females in the tactical/firearm (or any) industry. Imagine a tall, hawt, dangerous Laura Ingalls Wilder type with cool hair and a suppressed blaster and you'll be getting the idea. What's interesting is that in addition to being a willing brawler and intrepid adventuress, she's also an Ent/Ogier level gardener and a truly badass baker.
