Colt has announced the expansion of its CBX rifle line with the new CBX Tac Hunter bolt-action rifle. The new CBX Tac Hunter rifle has been precisely designed with the avid hunter in mind to provide tight groupings and performance that shooters expect from a Colt.
Billed as a hybrid rifle from Colt, the CBX is a lightweight, field-ready platform designed to deliver impeccable precision, consistent reliability, and comfortable ergonomics. The bolt-action rifle is backed by a sub-MOA guarantee for supreme accuracy while taking it easy on the bank and the shooter’s back. The rifle is available in both .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor chamberings with a barrel length of 20 inches and 22 inches, respectively. Both barrel options are threaded 9/16”-24 and come with a thread protector, allowing shooters to install their desired muzzle accessories with ease.
Featuring a black nitride finish over the button-rifled carbon steel barrel and sitting in a black synthetic stock, the CBX Tac Hunter has an overall weight of around 7 pounds.
The CBX Tac Hunter has been designed for fast cycling and follow-up shots for effortless operation thanks to the 60° bolt throw. The bolt-action rifle has a user-adjustable trigger between 2.5-5 pounds, allowing the end user to fine-tune their shooting experience. The ergonomically sound stock features a more upright pistol grip with stippling on the main contact areas allowing for better shooting and trigger control for the user. On the stock is a 2-position tang safety and an ambidextrous magazine release. Speaking of magazines, the rifle comes from Colt with one 5-round AICS magazine.
The Colt CBX Tac Hunter bolt-action rifle has a Length of Pull between 12.75” and 14.25” with three spacers for a custom fit and an overall length of 39.75”. The newest CBX rifle is available now with an MSRP of $999.
