The Holiday shopping season is in full swing with Black Friday rapidly approaching. Some of the Black Friday deals are so good, you’ve got to jump on them quickly before the hot items are gone. That’s especially true in the firearms industry. Over the years I’ve learned to plan and watch for those upcoming deals so I can get the best Christmas gifts for friends and family at steep discounts. And I’ll admit it, I also look for a few of those deals for myself. Especially when they are gun-related, it’s just too hard to pass up. More ammo, a new magazine, or optic are some of those “can’t get enough of” items.
Here at GunMag Warehouse, we offer a lot of great deals already. But when it comes to Black Friday, we’ll have plenty of deals that are hard to pass up. I’ve been buying way too much gear for way too long. And one thing I’ve learned is that Black Friday the best time of the year to get unbelievable prices. ATI Schmeisser 5.56 / .223 AR-15 60-Round Windowed Magazine
I used to avoid AR-15 mags with a capacity over 30 because they tended to malfunction. With that much ammo, it’s hard to get a spring that will feed consistently. When I was asked to review the ATI 60-round mag, I didn’t even bother to cross my fingers. But boy was I wrong. I dumped a ton of ammo through it on the range and was surprised when it ran smoothly in my rifle.
A few more range trips, and I got the same result with different rifles. Over time, I ended up buying several more and using them all on some rifle drills. I found they even fit in a double AR-15 mag pouch so I could carry them on my vest. Because of the way the ATI mag is designed, it doesn’t feel bulky like some of the other high-capacity mags. When seated in the rifle, the mag sits flush with the sides of the lower receiver.
It’s also not any longer than the 40-round mags, just wider. If you want high capacity without using a drum, these things are the way to go. They are built solidly, and they are going to be very cheap! Get one for a friend or family member and of course, buy yourself one or two as well. Don’t worry, I won’t tell Santa.
Lancer L5 AR-15 223/5.56 30-Round Advanced Warfighter Magazine
Lancer mags are some of the toughest and most reliable mags you can buy. Better yet, they come in a lot of different colors (pay attention, Gucci-gun lovers). Made of polymer with steel-reinforced feed lips to prevent creeping, they will last as long as you need them to. They are translucent so you can see how much ammo you have, and color tinted to identify ammo types. They also work great when you want your mags to match a certain color on your rifle.
I know AR-15 rifles are not meant to be fashion pieces. But you don’t want the color of your mag to clash, do you? There are 13 colors to choose from but keep an eye out for the smoke-tinted mag this Black Friday because the little elves said a good deal was coming. And who wants to argue with them?

Trijicon RMR Red Dot Sight
The legendary Trijicon RMR optic is the Glock of handgun sights. There are lots of good optics out there, but it’s hard to find better quality than a Trijicon. I have one mounted on my 10mm Sig P320, and it has no issue with the punishing recoil of the 10mm cartridge. It will run for years on a single battery and I’m convinced it’s indestructible. I’m sure it can be broken, but it would take some kind of catastrophic failure to make it happen. I’ve dropped mine, gotten it wet, left it in the car in sweltering heat, and more. All this, and it still held zero.
