Barrett Introduced New ‘Off-the-Shelf’ Extreme Long-Range System

For more than four decades, Barrett Firearms Manufacturing has been known for its extreme-long-range firearms. In advance of next month’s Shooting, Outdoor, Hunting Trade Show (SHOT Show), the company announced the commercial release of its newest, award-winning firearm, the MRADELR.

The MRADELR was recently crowned the “Ballistic Best Editor’s Select” for the Best ELR Rifle (Barrett Firearms Manufacturing)

The MRADELR – a high-quality, military-tested, and extreme-long-range system with user-changeable barrels and calibers – was designed to deliver precision typically achieved only by custom-built rifles. It further expands the bolt-action, magazine-fed MRAD family to include the 416 Barrett chambering with additional large-caliber ammo options to be available in the near future.

Recently crowned the “Ballistic Best Editor’s Select” for the Best ELR Rifle, the MRADELR demonstrated excellent precision and accuracy with its remarkable performance at the global “King of 2 Miles” competition, earning a remarkable 2nd place finish as a production rifle competing primarily against custom builds.

“This rifle is a testament to our unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in long-range shooting. We look forward to sharing this innovation with the world at the 2024 SHOT Show and bringing the same capability to the hands of marksmen who demand nothing but the best,” explained Bryan James, president of Barrett Firearms.

The MRADELR features a user-changeable barrel system that allows the user to swap the barrel to meet multiple caliber configurations with just one tool; an electroless nickel-plated bolt head for reduced wear, maintenance, and added corrosion resistance; and an M-LOK compatible modular upper receiver that utilizes a continuous integral 10 mil top rail measuring 24.6 inches in length.
