The MPO Micro Dot from Meprolight

Meprolight has been producing battle sighting systems since 1990, when it was established to serve the needs of the IDF. Today, its products range from illuminated iron sights for rifles, pistols, and shotguns to modern red dot optics. New for 2024 is its MPO family of optics designed for everyday carry handguns.

This new series of optics covers a wide variety of preferences for those of us who own handguns cut for an RMR or RMSc/J-Point optic. The MPO Pro-F and MPO Pro-S feature a closed emitter to protect the dot from ingress. Both feature a 3 MOA dot, a 33 MOA ring, or a 3/33 bullseye reticle and are powered by a single CR 1632 coin battery for up to 20,000 hours of continuous operation. These optics are IP67 waterproof and have both manual and automatic brightness adjustments. The chief difference is that the F-model is meant for an RMR footprint, and the S is meant for the RMSc cut slide.

These models are also available with an open emitter system with enhanced brightness features: 10 daylight settings and 2 night vision settings.

The Pro-R and Pro-S are joined by the simpler MPO-DF and MPO-DS, which feature an open emitter and a 3.5 MOA red dot reticle with an auto-controlled brightness setting. These optics are IPX7 waterproof rated, and the DF and DS have up to 15,000 and 20,000 hours of operating time, respectively. The DF is the model to choose if you are running an RMR foot print. Pick the DS for the smaller RMSc slide cut.

All of these new dot optics feature a power-saving mode with a shake-awake feature, ensuring thoughtless activation and reliability with virtually any firearm platform. Keep an eye out at Gun Mag Warehouse and other trusted dealers for pricing and availability.
