The 8.6 Blackout cartridge is taking the suppressed shooting community by storm. B&T, the storied rifle and submachine gun maker, has tossed its hat into the 8.6 ring with its deployment-ready SPR86 Precision Rifle.
“The original purchasing element of the SPR300 platform required a compact precision rifle that was discreet to transport and capable of sub-MOA accuracy out to 150 meters with subsonic ammunition,” Chris Mudgett, B&T USA’s Vice President of Marketing, remarked. “8.6 Blackout is changing end-user requirements thanks to a substantial increase in capability in the form of effective range, intermediate barrier penetration, and terminal performance — when compared with 300BLK — without any sacrifice in platform weight or sound/flash performance. With a net increase of just 100 grams and an overall length increase of just over an inch, the SPR86 is the future.”
The SPR86 comes with the needed add-ons, so all you have to worry about is the scope and ammunition of your choice. It comes with scope rings and an extension for other optical devices. It also comes with a QD bipod and two AR-10 pattern ten-round magazines. The rifle is packed in a soft-sided carrying case and is expected to ship in the final quarter of 2024 at an MSRP of $5,525.
