Sig Sauer has announced the latest in the P365 family of pistols, with the new Sig P365 AXG Legion. This new model joins the ever-growing line of Legion model pistols in the Sig product offerings with upgraded features sure to please consumers.
The Sig P365 AXG Legion pistol is the newest 9mm offering with upgraded features like a larger expansion chamber and an optics-ready slide. The P365 AXG Legion features an integrated two-port expansion chamber that helps with recoil mitigation, meaning follow-up shots can happen faster and easier. Constructed from stainless steel, the gray Cerakote finished slide comes optics-ready right out of the box, and includes enhanced serrations for faster and more reliable manipulation under stress. In addition to the optic cuts on the slide, the P365 AXG Legion pistol features the XRAY3 day and night sights, like many other Sig Sauer models.
The frame is also constructed from stainless steel, meaning the pistol weighs just 26 ounces unloaded. The AXG Legion P365 pistol has the all-metal grips of the AXG (Alloy XSeries Grip) Grip Module has been fitted with custom G10 grip surfaces and an extended magwell that helps with a smoother reload of magazines. Speaking of magazines, the P365 AXG Legion comes from the factory with three 17-round magazines.
Rounding out the features of the Sig P365 AXG Legion is a flat striker-fired trigger, an overall length of just 6.6 inches, and a barrel length of 3.1 inches. According to Sig, the new P365 AXG Legion pistol pairs well with the 9mm 115-grain AXG V-Crown jacketed hollow point ammo. This ammunition is engineered to reduce recoil and provide optimal performance out of a shorter barrel, like the 3.1” barrel of the pistol.
