Ruger Wrangler Sheriff Revolver Model with 3.75″ Barrel

Just when folks thought the Single Six-type Revolver couldn’t get any better, Ruger ups itself with the shorter Wrangler Sheriff. This updated Wrangler revolver adds an additional angle for Ruger revolver lovers, following in the footsteps of the super popular Single Six and Wrangler guns.

The updated Wrangler Sheriff is a smaller single-action rimfire revolver with a very affordable price tag, nearly half of some of the other revolvers in Ruger’s product offerings. It comes with a small 3.75-inch cold hammer-forged barrel whereas its big brother has the standard 4.62-inch barrel. The barrel has a 1:14” twist and, according to Ruger, provides exceptional accuracy and longevity even at the shorter length.

The revolver is chambered in the more affordable .22 LR for an easy-to-handle and enjoyable-to-shoot revolver. But the small caliber does not always mean small in size. The revolver boasts the Birdshead checker-patterned synthetic grip frame variant which keeps the grip full-sized just like the original Wrangler.

The six-shot capacity aluminum alloy cylinder, finished in three different color choices, helps the rugged durability of the revolver while keeping it lightweight. With the full-sized overall length of just over 9”, the revolver weighs in at a bit over 26 ounces.

Featuring an integral notch rear sight and front sight blade, the Wrangler Sheriff will be familiar for Ruger fans to shoot. Like other revolvers from Ruger, the Wrangler Sheriff has an interlocking transfer bar and loading gate, that gives the shooter piece of mind knowing the revolver is protected from the possibility of an accidental discharge.

The Ruger Wrangler Sheriff comes in three Cerakote color options: Black, Silver, or Burnt Bronze finish. Folks will be able to get a hands-on look at SHOT Show 2023, if not sooner. The Ruger Wrangler Sheriff rim-fire revolver is available and has an MSRP of $269.

Patti Miller is one of the most awesome females in the tactical/firearm (or any) industry. Imagine a tall, hawt, dangerous Laura Ingalls Wilder type with cool hair and a suppressed blaster and you'll be getting the idea. What's interesting is that in addition to being a willing brawler and intrepid adventuress, she's also an Ent/Ogier level gardener and a truly badass baker.
