The Taurus TX22 first hit the market in early 2019, offering the standard features of a full-size pistol while chambered for .22LR. Designed and engineered to maximize fit, function, and comfort, the rimfire pistol quickly gained its share of supporters.
Now, five years later, the next generation of the Taurus TX22 line has arrived, and it promises to exceed expectations and cater to the diverse needs of modern shooters. The upgraded Taurus TX22 features enhanced iron sights, slide cuts for faster cycling, and an optics-ready configuration.
According to Taurus, the heart of the enhanced Taurus TX22 is the Taurus Performance Trigger System (PTS), which can deliver a short, smooth pull and ergonomic grip, offering comfort and control while ensuring optimal performance with every shot.

The next-generation TX22 incorporates proprietary slide-lightening cuts, which address any concerns about the added weight of optics without compromising reliability. Traditionalists will also note the inclusion of enhanced iron sights, which feature high-contrast white dot front sights and serrated rear sights that optimize visibility and reduce glare for improved shooting accuracy and target acquisition. It further includes a threaded barrel and suppressor adapter collar, facilitating seamless integration with suppressors. The external thread of 1/2×28 is compatible with most .22LR suppressors on the market today, allowing users to enjoy enhanced sound reduction and stealth capabilities.
The new TX22 also features a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny accessory rail, which can accommodate a wide array of pistol-sized tactical lights, laser sights, or light/laser combinations, allowing users to customize their setup to suit their individual preferences. An optics-ready configuration is also available, offering operators the option to customize their shooting experience with their preferred optic systems.
The Taurus TX22 will come with a 22-round magazine and a 16-round magazine.
