Well-made rifles are a thing of beauty, and LWRCI is a gun maker that’s built quite a reputation for designing and manufacturing purpose-driven firearms. The latest from the company is a new addition to the popular IC A5 carbine line: the LWRCI IC A5 in 300 BLK. This is a rifle made for superior performance at closer ranges, impressive accuracy, and reliability. Of course, it’s not only for close quarters use, either. The IC A5 in 300 BLK is versatile and can be used for a number of applications including home defense, hunting, and range work.
LWRCI’s IC A5 is now being offered chambered in 300 BLK, a caliber prized by many shooters for its superior performance at closer distances. This gun is directly descended from previous rifles produced by the gun maker for the purpose of meeting the requirements of the U.S. Army’s Individual Carbine Program.
At the heart of the rifle is the LWRCI Proprietary Short-stroke Gas Piston operating system which is made to deliver fantastic reliability, even in extreme conditions. Features include a MonoForgea upper with an LWRCI free float rail, IC A5 2-position gas block, which is ideal for use with suppressors, scalloped rail design for access to the gas block, and Nickel Boron coated bolt carrier for resistance to wear.
The heavy barrel is cold hammer forged and has an LWRCI A2 Flash Hider, Skirmish BUIS, and LWRCI Compact stock with QD Sling Mount. This gun is also designed for easy maintenance.
The IC A5 AAC lower is made for excellent performance with fully ambidextrous controls including fire/safety-control, bolt catch release, and magazine release. It ships with a Magpul PMAG in 30 or 10 round. The It will be available in FDE, OD Green, Tungsten Grey, Premier Gray, and Patriot Brown and in California and other state Compliant configurations. Initial offerings feature a 10.5 inch barrel configuration.
