Galco has introduced the Thunderclap, the first in its new Masterbilt series, which promises to deliver the best-quality, premier-grade holsters for everyday carry or “special-occasion” pistols. The Thunderclap is made from fully lined premium steer hide and features detailed hand-molding for both secure retention and a noteworthy appearance.
The Thunderclap’s smooth leather lining provides increased tactile feedback on the draw while easing wear on more delicate handgun finishes. In addition to being practical, it also enhances the overall look and feel of the hand-crafted holster.
Of course, looks are good – but the Thunderclap’s near-neutral (vertical) cant provides fast, wrist-locked draw stroke, while its reinforced opening provides an easy, one-handed return to the holster. It is also relieved at the base of the trigger guard, which offers a full firing grip in the holster. The metal-reinforced tunnel-style belt loop also provides excellent rigidity during carry and on the draw, while the Thunderclap’s trailing belt slot aids with concealment – even with large defensive handguns. A molded sight rail further prevents snags on the draw.

As noted, the Thunderclap is also the first in Galco Holster’s new Masterbilt holster series, which promises to combine its finest-quality premium leathers with the skills of its most experienced craftsmen.
