Bear Creek Arsenal PCC: Now in 45 ACP and 10mm

Pistol caliber carbines (PCCs) are versatile firearms that offer all the benefits of a typical rifle/carbine, only in a chambering originally made for pistols. They’re useful for everything from shooting matches to use as truck guns to hunting pests and varmints. Bear Creek Arsenal, a manufacturer well known for their AR platform guns, offers the Bear Creek Arsenal PCC in 45 ACP and 10mm Auto, two calibers capable of handling numerous applications.

Bear Creek Arsenal’s 45 ACP PCC is built on the company’s “AR-45” platform which is designed to be compatible with Glock 21 magazines. This gun has standard AR-15 controls with a few upgrades such as a flared magwell and the company’s Gen-2 side charging handle. The 45 ACP carbine is being offered in 7.5-inch, 10.5-inch, and 16-inch configurations.

10mm PCC

As for the 10mm carbine, it’s made to solve issues some shooters associate with the use of the caliber such as significant recoil. The carbine fixes that with an 8 oz buffer specifically utilized for the purpose of softening recoil. It’s compatible with Glock 20 thirty-round magazines. Like Bear Creek Arsenal’s 45 ACP PCC, the 10mm version is made on the gun maker’s new “AR-10MM” platform. It also features a Gen-2 side charging handle. The 10mm carbines are available with 10.5-inch and 16-inch barrels.

Both PCCs have threaded barrels, making them suppressor ready for an ultra-quiet experience which can be further enhanced by using subsonic ammo. Please note configurations with barrels under 16 inches in length have buffer tubes in place, not stocks.

Carbines with 16-inch barrels have the following features:

  • Picatinny rail atop receiver and forward end of the handguard for optics, irons, magnifiers, and other additions.
  • M-LOK compatible handguard for easy addition of aftermarket accessories such as lights and lasers.
  • Adjustable stock so the gun can be fitted to the user.
  • Sling attachment point on stock.

MSRP varies by configuration and caliber but starts at $539.99.
