The gun is based on the iconic 1911 design with modern features and is a solid choice for a variety of applications such as everyday use, target shooting, or duty use.
It has numerous fantastic features including an ambidextrous thumb safety, combat hammer, and skeletonized trigger. The gun also has an extended beavertail to facilitate a high, secure grip during live fire. As mentioned above, this 1911 is chambered in 10mm and has a capacity of 8+1. A Parkerized finish and custom G10 grips provide the aesthetic appeal and resistance to wear and tear that makes this a great all-around pistol. This 10mm model is the latest addition to the company’s 1911 family and was preceded by a 9mm model.
Additional features of the FS Tactical 1911 include a steel frame, ambidextrous safety, and a GI slide serration. Guns ship with a fixed dovetail rear sight and a fixed dovetail fiber optic front sight for rapid target acquisition. As a Government model 1911 this gun has a 5.0-inch barrel and full-sized frame which helps it remain balanced and mitigates felt recoil somewhat.
