Silencer Shop has teamed up with Ruger in a new collaboration to bring the Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Silencer Shop Host (SSH) pistol to its large network of dealers. The Silencer Shop exclusive builds on the proven Ruger platform and is suppressor ready out of the box.
The Ruger Mark IV SSH is optimized for use with a suppressor. The 3” cold hammer forged threaded barrel features a 1” threaded profile that matches up with most .22lr suppressors on the market. According to the company, the cold-forged hammer barrel gives ultra-precise rifling that lends itself to exceptional accuracy and longevity of the barrel. Not only that but the length of the barrel is designed to stabilize the .22lr round while keeping its velocity subsonic for the best suppression.
Features of the Ruger Mark IV SSH
The SSH has an internal cylindrical bolt construction to keep a permanent sight-to-barrel alignment with a better accuracy potential than the conventional moving-slide designs that other .22lr pistols have. The pistol features a contoured ejection port and bolt ears that are easy to handle for reliable operation and durability time after time.
The Ruger Mark IV SSH is equipped with a comfortable molded polymer full-sized grip frame with rubberized grips. On the grip are serrated front and back straps with checkered 1911-style grip panels for the best in-hand feel. Also on the frame is an ambidextrous manual safety that can be converted to the other side easily.
The Ruger IV SSH has an overall length of 7” and weighs just 29 ounces. The factory-installed Picatinny rail is great for adding optic accessories, if so desired. It also has a well-placed push-button magazine release on the left side. As an added step of safety, the pistol has a magazine disconnect that prevents it from firing when the magazine has been removed.
To round out the features of the SSH are the blued alloy steel receiver, the special edition laser-engraved Silencer Shop logo, and three 10-round magazines. The Silencer Shop Ruger Mark IV SSH ships in a hard-sided carrying case and has an MSRP of $749.
