Nosler Releases Carbon Chassis Hunter Rifle

Nosler added to its full lineup of ammunition and components when it announced its first chassis rifle system with the Carbon Chassis Hunter. While not the company’s first firearm, the Carbon Chassis Hunter joins a prestigious family with the award-winning Nosler Model 21 action.

The Nosler CCH carbine has a magnesium alloy frame with a carbon fiber pistol grip and a foam-filled carbon fiber foldable buttstock. The carbon forend has an M-LOK panel and integral ARCA rail helping to give the rifle ruggedness while keeping it lightweight and compact. The stock also features an adjustable length of pull and comb height for a better fit for the user.

Nosler has added a new rifle to its lineup with the Carbon Chassis Hunter rifle. The CCH has a carbon fiber wrapped barrel and stock to keep the weight of the large caliber rifle to around 7 pounds, depending on which caliber. It will be available in 6.8 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 28 Nosler, and 300 Win Mag. (Photo credit: Nosler)

Nosler CCH Rifle Specs

  • Carbon-wrapped barrel and stock
  • Barrel lengths 24″ (6.5 Creedmoor) and 26″ (6.5 PRC, 28 Nosler, 300WM)
  • Caliber choices: 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 28 Nosler, and 300 Win Mag
  • AICS compatible
  • Weight: ~7 pounds

The rifle is available in both a short and a long action option. Nosler states the rifle combines the pinpoint accuracy required by shooters with the ruggedness needed for hunters. The CCH has a crisp TriggerTech Primary trigger and a Sendero contour with the match-grade carbon fiber wrapped barrel to meet their assertions.

The Nosler name brings the benefits the end-user would expect, like the V-block bedding and a detachable AICS-compatible magazine in a package that weighs right around 7 pounds. That means it will be a great fit for long-range competition shooters as well as hunters.

Like other Nosler products, the price tag matches the quality you receive. The short action Carbon Chassis Hunter rifle has an MSRP of $5,395 while the long action Carbon Chassis Hunter rifle has an MSRP of $5,495.

Patti Miller is one of the most awesome females in the tactical/firearm (or any) industry. Imagine a tall, hawt, dangerous Laura Ingalls Wilder type with cool hair and a suppressed blaster and you'll be getting the idea. What's interesting is that in addition to being a willing brawler and intrepid adventuress, she's also an Ent/Ogier level gardener and a truly badass baker.
