Beretta has expanded the APX A1 family with the APX A1 Tactical 9mm pistol. Originally debuted at SHOT Show 2023 and currently being shown at NRAAM this weekend, this full-sized tactical pistol comes with loads of options you’d expect from a Beretta pistol.
Since the pistol is a part of the APX family of pistols, it has the excellent ergonomics, performance, and durability that the name imparts upon it. Beretta is calling the APX A1 Tactical the flagship of the series and said it was developed with special forces to meet their needs. With them in mind, the A1 Tactical has features like blacked-out suppressor height sights and an optics-ready slide.
With the suppressor height sights, the pistol comes from the factory with a ½”x28 threaded barrel meaning it’s ready to suppress right out of the box. But the higher sights also mean that when running a red dot optic, you can co-witness for a clearer sight picture.
Main Features
The APX A1 Tactical slide also features heavy serrations on the slide for easier manipulation in any conditions. The frame features a higher trigger undercut, ambidextrous slide and magazine release, and a 3-slot Picatinny rail for mounting accessories as needed. The grip has interchangeable backstraps and an extended beavertail for a better fit in the hand.
“At the 2023 NRA Show, Beretta introduces the APX A1 Tactical, featuring the ½-28 threaded barrel, black full serrated sound suppressor sights, three 21-round mags, and OD green frame with a black backstrap. Developed for an Italian SF unit, the APX A1 Tactical represents the flagship model of the APX family,” Nicola Lorenzi, Pistol Product Manager, said.
The Beretta APX A1 Full Size Tactical 9mm pistol has three 21-round extended magazines for a higher round count, whether it’s during a competition or in a personal defense situation. The pistol has a two-toned OD Green with black highlights coloring and an MSRP of $549.
