Weapon Light Employment and Home Defense

All I can say is that you need a weapon light of some sort for home defense. For concealed carry, I don't think a light is necessary. For home defense, though, I think it's an absolute requirement. Find what model works for you and train with it often. Remember to practice light discipline and positive target identification.

What is a Rifleman (and Why You Should Be One)

What is a rifleman? By military standards, a rifleman is an infantryman whose primary job is to locate, close with, and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver. In many ways, it's the most basic infantry soldier. The term rifleman has an application outside of a military context as well. It's someone skilled in the use of rifles, as well as several additional, practical skills

The 5.11 Skyweight Chest Rig: Low Profile Loadout

The Skyweight chest rig is a multiuse rig that makes it easy to carry an EDC and beyond. I see it more as a tool belt than a tactical chest rig. Though saw it's baptism by fire in the aftermath of a major hurricane, it's remained a steadfast companion. Don't take my word for it. Read on and see for yourself why I still rely on my Skyweight rig.

The Magpul MS3: The Cadillac of Rifle Slings

The MS3 sits in a unique spot in the world of weapon slings. It's quite handy and very useful. It's an overall excellent sling and has become one of my new favorite options on all manner of firearms.

The Kel-Tec P32 Gen 2: The Ultimate Pocket Pistol

The Kel-Tec P32 is, in my opinion, the best pocket pistol on the market. It's super small, super lightweight, and very reliable. It's controllable and fires a rimfire cartridge capable of penetrating deep enough to stop a threat. The little P32 doesn't get the love it deserves, and the Gen 2 only took a good handgun and made it better.

Slugs 101: Adding Range to the Shotgun

Slugs are powerful and capable tools that allow you to reach out and touch a target with a firearm typically used for handgun ranges. They add some versatility to the platform and the idea of the shotgun. If you are a shotgunner, then having a healthy understanding of how to use slugs gives you another tool for the box.

The Revolver Reload: Shooting On the Clock

With an automatic, reloads are simple. Drop magazine, replace magazine, rack slide, and you’re in action! However, that’s completely different when it comes to a revolver reload. Here's a few revolver reload techniques for you to try with your wheelgun.

Does the .45 ACP Really Have More Stopping Power?

The idea that .45 ACP offers some kind of magic stopping power that makes it much more effective than any other round is a myth. It's why the cartridge has slowly faded away with professional shooters, and was replaced by the cheaper, lighter, and more reliable 9mm Luger cartridge.

The P32 vs the Tomcat: .32 ACP Shootout

In the gun world, the classic 'you get what you pay for' is a very real thing. Spending extra money on guns and gear often results in obtaining better guns and gear. Is it always true? Well, as they say, "Only a Sith deals in absolutes." How do we know if we don't try? With that in mind, I took out two of the few modern production .32 ACP handguns on the market to see if the price stumps everything.
