Why I’d Rather Carry a .22 LR Over a .380 ACP

You might laugh at the idea of using .22 LR over .380 ACP for self-defense, but please give me a chance to explain. Admittedly, I wouldn't choose .22 LR in every situation, but in a very specific scenario, I think the .22 LR is a better option than .380 ACP.

Best Low-Recoil Firearms: Defensive Firearms For The Everyday Shooter

The 2nd Amendment is for everyone, and the idea of everyone includes folks who might not be the strongest or mightiest. In fact, it's arguable that those folks need a defensive firearm more than the rest of us.

The Top 10 Best Selling Guns of 2023

Gunbroker has released its annual list of the top-selling firearms across its platform for 2023. It's arguable that this isn't the official best-selling list of 2023 as it's just the guns sold on Gunbroker. However, it's the closest we are going to get.

The Rock Island Armory Budget Friendly Double-Stack M1911

For less than a grand, the RIA TAC Ultra FS HC is one helluva gun. It could be better, but it could also be a lot worse. It's surprisingly reliable with the cheapest ammo I can find. It's plenty accurate, but it is begging for a red dot optic. If you want to jump on the double stack M1911 or 2011 bandwagon, this gun makes it easy to do so.

The .22 TCM: Too Hot To Stop

The .22 TCM is built to move, weighing in at 40 grains and moving at velocities of around 1,850 to 1,900 feet per second when fired from a 5-inch barrel. When you toss the .22 TCM in a rifle-length barrel, the velocity amps up to 2,800 feet per second. That's nuts for such a little round. The .22 TCM joins the ranks of rounds like the .22 Spitfire, the .221 Remington Fireball, and the oft-forgotten .224 Boz. It's light, fast, and hits with a smack.

The Renegauge vs The 940 Tactical: Shotgun Shootout

I love shotguns. They are an absolute blast (pun intended). Shotguns like the A300 Ultima Patrol, the Mossberg 940 Tactical, and the often underrated Savage Renegauge are always fan favorites. Today, we are comparing the two American options that have hit the market: the Renengauge Security and the Mossberg 940 Tactical.

The Beretta 950BS .22 Short: An Italian Mouse Gun

The Beretta 950BS (the Minx) is a downright fun little gun. It was as much fun as I expected it to be. I was surprised by its reliability mostly. A gun isn't fun if it doesn't go bang when you press the trigger. While it's named the Minx, it's really more of the kitten. Of all the Beretta tip-ups I have, this is my favorite so far.

This Old Gun: Smith & Wesson 1903 Hand Ejector Fifth Change

The Smith & Wesson 1903 Hand Ejector Fifth Change isn't the first modern revolver. However, it is a direct descendant of one of the first modern revolvers. Let's take a look.

The Best Polymer Frame DA/SA Pistols

The Glock-style striker-fired handgun trigger mechanism is like a zombie. It’s slowly taking over. Companies that made their name on hammer-fired guns are moving to the partially cocked striker-fired options. CZ, FN, and HK moved away from the DA/SA action, or at least partially moved away from the DA/SA gun. Luckily, some of us holdouts are more than willing to try our best to keep the DA/SA, polymer frame world alive. Do you have a favorite polymer frame, DA/SA gun?
