The right handgun is important and requires one made with attention to detail and a sharp eye on quality control. Known for such things, Shadow Systems has announced two brand new models for 2024: the MR920P and XR920P. Both handguns are the result of careful research and based on proven platforms within their existing family of handguns.
Shadow Systems is pleased to announce the launch of two new 9mm handguns, both of which feature an integrated compensator. The new models are the compact MR920P and crossover sized XR920P. These two guns are designed to be flat-shooting pistols capable of withstanding serious use.
The gun maker’s lineup started with the compact MR920 where it quickly became the company’s best-selling model. The new, further enhanced, MR920P has a patent-pending, quick detach all-steel compensator. The new XR920P features a built-in QD compensator and is an updated XR920 model. The gun’s compensator utilizes the same quick detach method as the CR920P model, which is a self-locking and self-indexing method. The attachment system doesn’t require a threaded barrel. As such, this pistol is potentially compliant in jurisdictions restricting threaded barrels. The steel compensator adds 1/2-inch to the length of the gun, keeping the platform compact overall. Thankfully, this design makes the MR920P and XR920P compatible with holsters made for the G17.
Shadow Systems compensators maintain superior reliable function with standard factory springs and various bullet weights. Furthermore, their compensators go through thousands of rounds of rigorous testing without cleaning. These guns and their compensators experienced no loss of reliability or carbon lockout during this testing. Shooters reported a 40% reduction in muzzle rise on average during the testing process.
MSRP for the Shadow Systems MR920P and XR920P is $1,269 and $1,293, respectively.
Shadow Systems’ entire pistol lineup is at booth #41726 at SHOT Show this week.
