Kimber KDS9c Vs the CZ 75 Compact: A Comparison Review

The Kimber KDS9c is the new kid on the block in a crowded market of 1911-style pistols. CZ and their 75 series of guns are far from new and are already proven defense weapons. Both pistols, however, have a few things that stand out and make them great self-defense weapons. They are both hammer-fired, about the same size and both hold 15 rounds of 9mm ammo. The Kimber is, of course, a direct descendant of Browning, but the CZ also has some Browning DNA. However, both guns operate differently.

Shooting the Winchester Model 62A

I’m pretty sure everyone remembers their first gun, or at least the first one they ever shot. For me, it was a Ruger Blackhawk .357 Magnum, when I was about five years old, shooting at a stump across a dried-up pond. For most, it was some sort of .22 caliber pistol or rifle. I don’t […]

A Review of the Smith and Wesson FPC Folding Pistol Carbine

Smith and Wesson has been doing a lot of odd things lately. Not bad things, not even weird, just unconventional, and I'm most certainly here for it. The all-new FPC, combines three genres of firearms I like: pistol caliber carbines, folding firearms, and inherently odd guns. Let's take a look.

A Review of the Glock 27: Still Worth It?

One of the under-sung heroes of the Glock world is the Glock 27, a subcompact .40 Smith & Wesson that remains a solid gun despite the fact the caliber has fallen out of fashion. It’s still a great pistol, and we’re going to explain why.
