Winchester’s 9422 XTR: A Little Lever In .22LR

Had we been headed to the field, we'd have each stuffed a couple hundred rounds into our coat pockets, which brings me to another of the .22's advantages - its light weight and compact size allow a lot of ammunition to be carried around easily. Such are the wonderful aspects of the .22 round.

Taurus Model 62 Pump Action .22 Rifle Review

Before my friend introduced me to it, I had never heard of the Model 62 rifle from Taurus. He simply handed it to me during one of our shooting sessions, and I began plinking away happily at little steel silhouette targets. After I'd emptied the magazine, I began looking over the rifle, and was a little shocked when I saw that it was Taurus; I didn't realize that they make rimfire rifles. But make them they do!

Maglula Universal Pistol Mag Loader/Unloader: Is It Worth A Darn?

At first, it was awkward for me to operate the Maglula Mag Loader , but after a few rounds I got the hang of it. After a short time, I got to the point where I could load one round about every second. Even magazines with extremely stiff springs posed no challenge to the loader.

Blackhawk’s Shotgun Bandolier: A Game Changer

Blackhawk's 12 Gauge Bandolier sells for $28.99 at the time of writing, and I believe it represents a solid buy for what the consumer gets. The bandoleer is built very robustly and should last for a lifetime.

Smith & Wesson 640-1: A Snubby With Venom!

If you're in the market for an extremely potent self-defense handgun that will fit into a pocket, this is a good one. Loaded with lighter .38 Special rounds, the recoil and muzzle blast are quite manageable. When stoked with heavier Magnum loads, it will be a force to be reckoned with, capable of serious penetration.

The Glock 44 With Threaded Barrel: A Range Review

The Glock 44 is one of the most reliable and affordable modern rimfire handguns to hit the market. Just how reliable is it, though? Let's discuss.

The .22 Creedmoor: Longest Range .22?

Following the wild success of the 6.5 Creedmoor, wildcatters began concocting other cartridges from the parent cartridge, including the 6mm Creedmoor and the .25 Creedmoor. Then came the .22 Creedmoor, which was also necked down from the 6.5 Creedmoor. It was first built by Horizon Firearms in 2014, and at that stage, it was a wildcat round. In 2016, they began selling loaded .22 Creedmoor rounds to shooters.
