The Beretta Px4 Storm is something of a sleeper gun. It is neither obscure nor ubiquitous, but it is a well-appointed and high-quality pistol designed to bridge the gap between lighter polymer-framed pistols and the traditional and trusted double-action hammer-fired handguns that had made Beretta into a worldwide entity.

Since coming onto the scene in 2004, the Px4 Storm has seen its fair share of adoptions and models dedicated to duty and concealed carry, ranging in calibers from 9mm to .40 S&W and .45 ACP. I have always advocated for the virtue of double-action pistols, even over more ubiquitous striker-fired guns. But I am also a fan of the classics, and the Beretta Px4 Storm often escaped my mind.

However, upon reading the news that the Langdon Tactical Beretta Px4 G-SD won Best Competition Gun for 2024 at the Industry Choice Awards, I decided that the time was right to delve into what the Px4 Storm has to offer. I came into the new G-SD model to accomplish that mission and see how a 20-year-old model was receiving renewed praise.

Px4 Storm G-SD: Quirks and Features

Although it is not as well-known as pistols like the Beretta 92 or Cheetah, the Px4 Storm has been out and about since 2004. The development of the G-SD model, in particular, is a collaboration between Langdon Tactical Technology and Beretta toward that twentieth anniversary. Langdon has done excellent work at taking Beretta double actions and giving them just enough juice to yield an improvement over the high standards Beretta holds to their stock handguns.

The Px4 has the benefit of a lighter polymer frame, a familiar double-action mechanism, and a slide-mounted safety/de-cocker like on other Berettas. But the unique rotating barrel is something not seen on most modern pistols and some shooters espouse that it is more mechanically accurate and dampens recoil. Small wonder that LTT picked up this sleeper gun, slicked the action, and cut the slide for a red dot, among other improvements, to turn it into an excellent competition gun.

The Beretta Px4 Storm is a proven, if underrated, quantity in the duty pistol world.

Beyond the polymer frame, rotating barrel, and double-action hammer-fired mechanism, this model falls into the full-sized handgun category with a 4-inch barrel and double-stack steel-bodied magazines. Ordinarily, the 9mm versions of the Px4 ships with two 17-round magazines; however, the G-SD ships with two flush-fitting 17-rounders and an extended 20-rounder. The matte grey stainless-steel slide has vertical slide serrations at the rear and the front.

The G-SD has an ambidextrous Type G decocker and a reversible enlarged magazine release. However, the slide release is set up for right-handed shooters.

Ergonomics and Controls

The Px4 features fish scale texturing at the front and rear of the grip, and the rear can be fattened with the three optional backstraps that come in the box, though I have yet to meet a Px4 Storm owner who has yet to use them. The G-SD, like others in the Storm lineup, has a prominent slide release on the right side along with a reversible magazine release that can be switched to the left side to accommodate left-handed shooters. This release is wider and has a higher profile than the standard release, making for quicker reloads.

The G in the G-SD denotes an ambidextrous G-style decocker without a safety. Thumbing the decocker down would ordinarily lock the decocking lever into a safety position, deactivating the trigger while dropping the hammer on a live round safely. The decocker simply drops the hammer and springs back to the firing position instantly. There is no manual safety to worry about forgetting, but the Px4 comes with a robust firing pin block that requires a trigger pull to discharge the pistol.

The G-SD has a pair of takedown tabs forward of the trigger guard. Pulling them down and pressing the trigger will free the slide for disassembly. The Px4 has a rotating barrel that is turned by a camming block housed under it with the steel guide rod.

The Px4 Storm is easy to break down. To reassemble, it is useful to put the locking block and barrel in their respective positions and insert both into the slide so the barrel is oriented correctly as it goes in. Once in, you can take out the locking block, insert the guide rod, and reinstall it as a unit.

The rest of the G-SD constitutes a universal rail for mounting a weapon light and sights, which consist of a drift-adjustable blacked rear notch steel sight and a Hi-Viz orange front blade. Interestingly, this pistol does not come optics-ready from the factory.

The Px4 Storm is a double-action/single-action handgun that can be fired through a long pull of the trigger or alternatively with the hammer cocked by the slide in single-action for a lighter trigger pull. Although the Langdon version is marked by an action job, I noticed the trigger pull and reset to be crisper than other stock Px4 Storm models that I have sampled. In double action, the reset is very audible, although it is all the way out to its resting position. But the trigger pull stacks and is smooth throughout, breaking at 6.5 lbs. on my Lyman trigger scale. In single action, there is 1/3 of an inch of play before a light break of 4 lbs. 4 oz.

On the Range with the Px4 Storm G-SD

On first inspection, the G-SD presented itself as a mild upgrade to a design that has changed little since its inception. The Px4 Storm is a known performer, but being a polymer-framed hammer-fired pistol makes it an anomaly. It is even more so in recent years with the advent of the micro-compact 9mm and the trend toward optics-ready handguns. But it might be best left to the experts at Langdon to go whole-hog on upgrades on a bit-by-bit basis rather than Beretta trying with measures that will please some and not satisfy others.

Accuracy Potential

With that out of the way, the G-SD is a solid choice as a stock option and as a basis for the upgraded LTT model. I began using the G-SD as a bullet launcher to collect velocity data across different types of ammunition before going all in to run a higher round count and look for assets and liabilities with the platform itself. I ultimately ran over 350 rounds of 9mm Luger ammunition through the G-SD without an issue. My primary loads were Igman 124-grain FMJ target rounds, but the Px4 digested its fair share of jacketed hollow points ranging from Barnes Tac XPD 115-grain +P to Sig Sauer Elite Performance 147-grain subsonic rounds. I am pleased to report that I had no failures to fire or function. Despite the variety of grain weight, all ammunition was shot close to the point of aim.

Some initial five-shot groups fired from 10 years. The best group was fired using Barnes Tac XPD 115 grain +P ammunition [lower left]. Federal Punch 124-grain HPs [upper right] were more scattershot. Sig Elite Performance 147-grain subsonic Igman 124-grain FMJ are represented by the lower right and upper left targets, respectively.

On paper, I could reliably post groups inside 3 inches at 10 yards firing offhand. The runaway winner was Barnes’ all-copper Tac XPD +P load, which repeatedly turned in groups under two inches. As mentioned before, the iron sights are well-regulated. These are not suppressor sights by any stretch and tend toward the small side, so they do not cover up large parts of targets like XS Big dots would. But the Hi-Viz front sight is easy to track, as the Px4 is a well-balanced pistol that points naturally, and the blacked-out rear sight seems to fall into place.

The fiber optic front sight is fully encased, so the filament will not break. However, it is still very visible against the black rear notch. Interestingly, this model does not come from the factory as an optics-ready handgun.

A Reliable Shooter

It was not hard for the sights to fall in place quickly as the Px4 Storm has plenty of real estate to hold onto for recoil control. As I shot drills with the Px4 Storm, I paid attention to the recoil impulse—especially compared to other 9mm pistols I had in inventory. The Px4 is a fast shooter but the cycling of the pistol felt slower and softer. In fact, you can feel the twisting of the barrel as the pistol recoils.

It reminded me of shooting a full-sized 1911 in some ways because the lower pressure .45 ACP round, while it generates more recoil thanks to its heavier bullet, never cycles with the sharpness of a similar pistol in 9mm. Against my venerable CZ-75B, I shot just as well with the Px4, and the former has similar recoil despite being a lighter gun compared to the all-steel CZ.

The Px4 was able to keep up, shooting past 50 yards on steel silhouettes. It was a hoot to shoot, and in terms of ergonomics, the story is mostly good. This double stack has a thicker grip that helps distribute recoil across the palm, which makes it even easier to work with compared to micro-compacts and many double-stacks that have a more pointed grip to them.

A Few Downsides

However, there is always a trade-off with double stacks. In the case of the G-SD, that could come down to trigger reach. With the hammer de-cocked, the trigger is fully reset. A good double-action trigger pull is best managed for most of us by pulling the trigger with the crease of the index finger rather than the pad. If your fingers are not long enough for the grip to reach the trigger, running it with the pad can move the muzzle as you shoot and make it harder overall to squeeze the trigger. My larger hands fit the Px4 Storm just right, and I would imagine anyone with an above-average-sized hand would be well served, but smaller-handed shooters might have trouble.

The Px4 Storm is a hand-filling pistol.

The sights are more than ample, and there is plenty of real estate to get a grip on the slide, particularly using both the cocking serrations and the ambidextrous decocker to do the job. Slide-mounted decocker/safeties have their critics. Some shooters who use an overhand method for racking the slide can accidentally decock the pistol and put the handgun in the safe position when they intend to keep shooting.

The geometry of the G-decocker keeps it stationary in hand on the rack, and if it is tripped, you can simply squeeze the trigger again as there is no safety position. The extended magazine release button is easy to hit, and the slide release is intuitive to actuate, even with my short thumbs. However, I was a bit surprised that the G-SD did not go with the ambidextrous slide release, where a growing list of manufacturers are updating their models to be fully ambidextrous.

The Beretta Px4 Storm G-SD: Is There a Bottom Line?

Overall, the double-action pistol platform is not as popular today as it should be. The long pull of the trigger and hammer-fired action lends itself well to safety, whether it is while carrying or presenting from and to the holster. Of course, they can be carried that way without the need for a manual safety, so you are always ready to shoot. It can be argued that the Beretta Px4 Storm arrived too late. But if you are looking at the strengths of a double-action pistol but want the benefit of a lighter polymer gun, too, the Px4 is an obvious first pick, and the G-SD model is probably the best version to get.

The competitor who is accustomed to a double action should also have a look at the Px4 thanks to its softer shooting rotating barrel alone, and the LTT version can be built to suit most preferences. For the rest of us, the G-SD is a well-built option and would be a great home defense or duty option. However, that has to be tempered by competitive options. The Type G Px4 Storm is nothing new, and the minor updates to the design that constitute a stock G-SD do not go far enough in the age of the red dot and ambidextrous options.

The Sig Sauer Fuse is taking the P365 family to new lengths. With a 4.3" barrel, this is bridging the gap between the P365 line and the P320 guns, but it keeps that thin profile that makes the P365 easy to conceal.

Back in the late 1970s, Stretch Armstrong was a massive hit with kids like me. The goo-filled rubber wrestler could be stretched out to ridiculous lengths. Actually, that was Stretch Armstrong’s only trick. Someone at Sig Sauer may have had one of these as a kid, as I can clearly see the influence in the latest evolution (and longest version yet) of Sig’s P365 family: The P365 Fuse.

The length of the barrel and slide on Sig’s new P365 Fuse is stretching out. This thin gun is easily concealed but large enough for traditional duty carry, too.

The Sig Sauer P365 (3.1″) was a true micro-compact with solid capacity. The XL lengthened the slide (which allowed for built-in comps or slightly longer barrels: 3.7″). Then, the P365 Macro added length to the grip (and a potential for increased flush-fit capacity). Now, the P365 Fuse takes the barrel and slide lengths even further.

With a barrel length of 4.3″, the P365 Fuse bridges the gap between micro-compact and compact pistols, positioning the Fuse as a solid EDC gun with roots in concealed carry but aspirations as an OWB handgun, too.

The Appeal of a Small Gun for LEOs

When I’m not waxing poetic about stretchy dolls, I work for Safariland. We’re hearing almost constant requests for retention-rated holsters for the P365 family. While the smallest of those, the P365, is a bit minimalistic for outside-the-waistband carry, the XL, Macro, and Fuse are not.

Most of the parts for the other P365 guns will work with the Fuse, so there are upgrades available if you need them.

These guns appeal to those with small hands. The guns are smaller, which makes them more appealing to smaller shooters or those with small hands. Women, we’re told, have been gravitating to the Macro for use on duty.

I think this might be a cover of sorts, and not just because I have larger hands. Many departments and agencies are facing pressure from political voices in their communities to present a less militaristic facade. This pressure has some questioning the full-sized duty guns. A gun like the Macro or Fuse will have a smaller footprint.

Are they really that much smaller?

They are, but not how you are thinking. These guns are more narrow. The grip size, too, doesn’t feel as boxy as that of a true double stack (like the P320). There’s marginally less mass, too.

Shorter, lighter guns tend to have a more pronounced recoil impulse. That’s true for this family, too. I’ve owned all four basic sizes (P365, XL, Macro, and now Fuse), and each one is just a bit easier to manipulate and shoot fast. The Macro had been my absolute favorite. Now, the Fuse is showing the potential to unseat it.

The Fuse (left) is next to my daily carry gun, a P365 with a bunch of upgrades (the frame is from Icarus Precision, and the slide on this one is a Lone Wolf).

Just remember that small is relative. Twenty years ago, most companies took one basic gun and chopped the length off the slide and grip, hoping it would make a gun more appealing for those who wanted something easily concealed. Now, we have an entire continuum of sizes that make it easy to find the precise gun fit, size, and caliber for whatever singular application you might have in mind.

Or maybe this is a one-and-done-sized gun?

While I gravitate toward a dedicated concealed carry gun and a different SHTF duty-sized gun, the Fuse may be a single gun solution for some. As soon as the solid holster makers catch up with the OWB side, Fuse will be a gun that is equally adept at official duty applications, EDC, and concealed carry. Unless you wanted a different caliber, this one pistol seems like a solid choice for doing many jobs.

In other words, if you could only have one pistol, this might be it.

Shooting the Fuse

If you don’t hold this gun down, the muzzle flip (up and to the right) will catch you off guard. Like many in this size range, it is jumpy. That doesn’t mean you can’t hold it down. You can, but it will fight back.

Accuracy is solid. The foundation of this comes from the P365 FCU’s trigger. I’ve been working with Sig guns for almost 20 years and have yet to find a Sig trigger that I like better than that of my P226. The P365 trigger feels distinctly different. The trigger on this would be described as abysmal if we were talking about a 1911 or even a P226.

I’m a fan of the narrow front blade sight on this and how easy it is to dial in accuracy with the Fuse.

It isn’t either of those, though, and the P365 family, all of them, are still focused on a style of shooting that doesn’t require short take-ups and glass-like breaks. And the P365 trigger is so much better than any of the P320s I’ve run across. In short, I’m not wild about it. I’m also not so frustrated by it that I’d make it a deal-breaker.

P365 Magazines

Magazines, of course, are important. The P365 family introduced a mid-sized magazine. It isn’t a single-stack, but it isn’t a true double-stack, either. The rounds stagger in the mag body, and only line up as they near the top. This wouldn’t be enough to keep these guns concealable, but the designers whittled away inside the frame until the grip was really thin where it surrounded the magazine.

Macro mags work in the Fuse, but the gun ships with 21-round and 17-round mags.

With the Macro and now the Fuse, these micro-compacts are eclipsing simple, compact capacity and taking on full-sized guns that have been seen as the standard for capacity.

The appeal is easy to see for smaller guns with a higher capacity. The Fuse ships with three mags (capacity varies depending on the package, but it is usually 21, 21, 17). Macro mags will fit it, too. Either way, three mags is the absolute minimum, and I think you will want and need more Sig P365 magazines.

Ergonomics on the P365 Fuse

The Fuse has moved away from the grip pattern of the Macro. There’s an oddly honeycombed texture across the grip. It is both easy to hold and not overtly aggressive.

There’s one odd element to the design. With an empty mag in the gun and the slide locked back, it is difficult to drop the slide with the slide-stop lever. It is seriously stiff. You’ll need to bump the mag out of place, then drop the slide.

If you are are a tinkerer, there are many ways to modify the gun. All of the aftermarket parts for the P365 family work, and there will be grip modules out soon from Icarus and others, if you want even more from that part than the stock module provides.

Begin with the mag release button. Then maybe the slide stop. The Fuse has its own mag well extension. I could see putting a threaded barrel on it, too.

The Fuse’s front blade is thinner than most and has a fiber optic insert. The slide is also cut for the Shield RMS pattern direct mount options.

The sights on this, as is, are my favorite of all of the P365 guns. The front blade is thin. This is odd; most of the EDC guns out there now make the front sight big and bright so it is easily seen as the gun is moving toward the target. The Fuse’s front sight is not hard to pick up from a draw but allows a lot of daylight on either side, which allows you to fine-tune the accuracy when it matters.

What else does the P365 Fuse need to be ready to carry?

Every carry gun needs a couple of basic additions. I’ve been developing astigmatism that makes red dots look like wild fireworks in the reticle, so I keep bouncing back and forth between using dots and irons. But the red dot is still faster. The Fuse is cut for the Shield RMS-C, but adapters are available.

The short rail accepts universal mount lights, like the Streamlight TLR-7.

I’d pick up a couple of holsters. The OWB side is just getting started, but the IWB options are readily available. The Incog X from Haley Strategic Partners and Safariland is ideal. Whichever you go with, make sure it fits the Fuse, too. Anything with an open bottom should work.

Final Thoughts

The Fuse is selling for just under $700, which is in the neighborhood of the other P365s. For those of us who grew up playing with the original Stretch Armstrong, this invokes some sticker shock. For years, a rock-solid duty gun was $500 or under, but it is easy to see that the Sig Fuse offers more—and it ships with three mags, too, which gets you a leg up on being ready to carry.

The BCA 202 is the next size up the food chain from their BCA 201 chambered in .22 Long Rifle. It features a heavy 16-inch stainless steel barrel available in a .920-inch diameter bull profile or a version with fluting. Each has an 11-degree target crown that makes the muzzle impervious to damage when carried in the field. The BCA 202 is also available with a threaded barrel for more discreet shooting.

The heavy barrel is housed in a Hogue over-molded stock with integrated sling studs. The action is based on the 10/22 and makes use of excellent Ruger aftermarket accessories. The T6 aluminum receiver has a fixed Picatinny rail for any conceivable optic. The 202 feeds from factory 9-round Ruger .22 magnum rotary magazines. BCA has also included a Ruger BX trigger, which has an adjustable trigger weight and overtravel compensation. In addition, the bolt of this blowback-operated rifle features dual extractors, which aid in its reliability. It also has BCA’s enhanced charging handle for ready manipulation in all weather.

In a sea of lever actions and bolt guns, the BCA 202 is one of a growing number of semi-automatic rifles chambered in the flat-shooting .22 Magnum cartridge. This new offering is now available for purchase and has an MSRP of $395.00.

Dissent is generally meant to disagree with a majority opinion, and thus, it was decided to be a fitting name for CMMG’s new “ban-proof” rifle. The DISSENT Br4 was designed to be available to all Americans, and it was able to meet compliance in all but New York, Illinois, and Washington.

All Br4 rifles are compatible with Remington 870 pattern stocks and come standard with the Magpul SGA 870 stock.

By all accounts, it wasn’t an easy challenge to meet — it took years of hard work and dedication. But the company has announced the DISSENT Br4, which will be available at retail in July.

It features modern technology, handling, and ergonomics, while the Br4 lower is essentially a more traditional rifle version of CMMG’s Mk4 platform, designed to mimic classic rifle ergonomics yet still capable of accepting all Mk4 compatible DISSENT upper groups. Thanks to those features, the Br4 can ship to 47 states.

The Br4 incorporates more traditional rifle ergonomics, utilizing Remington 870 compatible stocks, but it ships with a Magpul SGA stock.

It isn’t short on modern features, offering a reversible cross-bolt safety that is easily accessed while gripping the Br4 from the new stock while incorporating a new ZEROED drop-in trigger designed by CMMG and built in conjunction with RISE Armament. The Br4 is offered in two barrel lengths depending on caliber, including 16.1 inches plus muzzle brake or 14.5 with a pinned and welded muzzle brake to bring the overall barrel length to 16.1 inches.

The Br4 DISSENT is available in 7 different calibers, with 2 of those having 16.1″ or 14.5″(pinned & welded to 16.1″) barrel lengths.

The Br4 further makes good use of the company’s patented Compact Action, negating the need for a traditional buffer and tube. It is also fitted with a forward non-reciprocating side charger and full-length M-Lok free-float handguard.

At the time of release, the Br4 will be available in seven calibers and seven Cerakote options. Calibers will include 5.56, .300 blackout, 9mm with conversion magazines, .350 Legend, 6.5 Grendel, 6mm ARC, and .22 ARC. Additional calibers will be released in the future. Cerakote colors include Armor Black, Sniper Grey, Charcoal Green, Coyote Tan, Midnight Bronze, Titanium, and Tungsten.

The CMMG DISSENT Br4 will ship in July with two magazines; the MSRP is $1,899.95.

The Rough Series from Bond Arms has served to put Bond’s vault-tough derringers in the hands of more shooters. These matte-finished double-barrel pistols are mechanically simple and give you two rounds in a number of different calibers ranging from .22 LR to .45 Colt. New for 2024 is the Rowdy XL in .410/.45 Colt.

Bond Arms is offering a bigger version of the firm’s popular Rowdy .410/.45 Colt derringer– the Rowdy XL.
The Rowdy is a Rough Series handgun that can shoot either .410-bore shotgun shells or .45 Colt pistol ammunition. The new Rowdy XL is the same bulletproof design but enlarged for ease of shooting. The XL, like most other pistols in the Bond Arms catalog, is an all-stainless steel derringer with a two-shot capacity that features a rebounding hammer and manual shell extractor. While the original Rowdy features polymer grip panels and a bird’s head grip frame for ease of concealability, the new XL features Bond’s new wrap-around B6 extended grip for improved recoil control and handling. The Rowdy also came with a 3-inch barrel, which limited the effectiveness of 2.5-inch .410 shells. The XL comes with a 3.5-inch barrel for an improved shot pattern and better accuracy potential overall, whether you use .410 or .45 Colt ammunition.

[Watchtower Firearms]

The Demolitia is an all-steel double-stack 1911 platform and the first full-sized ported model in Watchtower’s lineup. It features a ported five-inch gold PVD-coated barrel offset by an aluminum flared magwell and an ambidextrous manual thumb safety with the same finish. The stippled grip frame and lightning-cut slide are made of 416R stainless steel and finished in black PVD.

This new offering features a section of machined-in Picatinny rail for a weapons light, and an adjustable gold PVD finished trigger that can be tuned to between 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 pounds. The slide release and magazine release are set on the left side of the pistol for right-handed shooters, but the manual safety and grip safety are naturally ambidextrous.

The Demolitia 2011 will be available with a standard green fiber optic front sight and blackened rear sight, along with an optics plate for the red dot of your choice. The new Watchtower Demolitia is chambered in 9mm Luger and will come with a hard case and four magazines—two 17-round magazines and two 20-round magazines. It will begin shipping in winter 2024.

If you are a fan of hardboiled detective stories and Prohibition-era coppers, or if you want something a little different from the current options out there, check out the new Heritage Roscoe.

Heritage Manufacturing is primarily known for its single-action Colt clone, the Heritage Rough Rider. Heritage started out in Florida before moving to a facility in Bainbridge, Georgia, as part of the Taurus. From there, they expanded their lineup to include revolving rifles and even lever actions. Now, Heritage is entering the double-action revolver market with the Heritage Roscoe.

The Heritage Roscoe is similar in style and function to revolvers produced by Rossi for Taurus. However, the Roscoe is made in the USA and mates a bulletproof design with a pair of checkered rosewood boot grips and a carbon steel frame and cylinder that has a blued finish. It features a six-shot fluted cylinder and an unlugged ejector rod. The Roscoe pays homage to the archetypical detective’s handgun and the generations of cops who carried small-framed snub-nosed revolvers like the Colt Detective Special and the Smith & Wesson Model 36.

Like those old classics, the Roscoe is an all-steel gun that weighs 22 ounces unloaded. It holds up to five rounds of .38 Special +P ammunition and is equipped with unknockable fixed sights. This new offering from Heritage is available with the classic 2-inch barrel but will also be available with a 3-inch barrel for better recoil control. Both will be available at a competitive MSRP of only $363.99.

Taurus has made solid yet affordable revolvers since opening up shop in 1941. Their Model 85 is the ubiquitous alternative to Smith & Wesson’s J-frame, and their Judge .45/.410 launched a new genre of handguns and more powerful shotshell ammunition to feed them. Several years ago, Taurus launched the Executive Grade line of tuned revolvers. As of 2024, the most recent addition to that lineup is the versatile Taurus 692.

Taurus is expanding its Executive Grade line with the Model 692 .357/9mm revolver. [Taurus USA]

The Taurus 692 is an all-stainless steel medium-frame revolver. It is chambered for seven rounds of .357 Magnum and comes with a replaceable front sight and an adjustable rear. It also features a conventional wide-spurred hammer so the revolver can be cocked for a lighter single-action trigger pull, or fired from the hammer-down position for a heavier double-action pull. The one unique feature of the 692 is that it comes with an interchangeable cylinder/yoke assembly. With the press of a spring-loaded detent button on the right side, the cylinder, crane, and yoke come out of the revolver, and another assembly with a 9mm Luger cylinder is installed without the need for tools or gunsmithing. This allows you to shoot the potent .357 Magnum round, milder .38 Special loads, or more affordable 9mm ammo. In addition, you can skip speedloaders and speed strips as the 9mm cylinder is cut for moon clips.

The new Taurus 692 Executive Grade comes with the standard features consummate of the Executive Grade line. It comes with a hand-brushed stainless finish and presentation-style walnut grips. The grips have a hand-filling square butt and are relieved for the use of speedloaders. The front sight is a traditional yet visible removable gold beaded post, but the 3-inch barrel is ported for the best possible recoil control, especially when firing Magnum rounds. Finally, like the other revolvers in the Executive Grade lineup, the Model 692 Executive Grade features a tuned and stoned action for an effortless trigger pull that would take hundreds of rounds of range time to achieve on a stock revolver.

This new revolver in Taurus’s promising Executive Grade lineup is now available and has an MSRP of $1,106.99.

GForce Arms has announced the release of its newest handgun, the RPX9 Exodus. This new 9mm handgun is compact and has been engineered for compatibility with Glock parts, helping make the RPX9 Exodus both affordable and reliable.

As a benchmark for affordable compact pistols, the RPX9 Exodus taps into a large market of shooters, new and seasoned, thanks to the effortlessness required for function, loads of aftermarket parts, and the overall adaptable design. The sheer level of customization the pistol allows with aftermarket parts and at the price point means the sky is the limit for the end user. The user can swap out the barrel for any Gen 3 & 4 G19 option, different trigger systems, Glock sights, use PMAGs, and even the Gen 3 & 4 G19 slides.

GForce Arms released its newest handgun, the 9mm RPX9 Exodus. This Glock clone-designed pistol features compatibility with aftermarket Gen 3 & 4 Glock 19 items, enhanced safety features, and comes from the factory with two 15-round magazines, all at the MSRP of just $299. [Photo credit: GForce Arms]

According to the company’s website, the RPX9 Exodus is built around a polymer frame and a 4140 steel slide. It regards safety highly, meaning the design includes a loaded chamber indicator, a trigger safety, and a firing pin safety. The slide features Glock Fiber Optic sights for easy target acquisition and front and side serrations for easy manipulations.

The handgun comes from the factory with two 15-round magazines for free states or load-restricted 10-round magazines for those stricter states. With its lightweight, compact design, a barrel of just over four inches, and an overall length of 7.3″, the RPX9 Exodus has an unloaded weight of a pound a third. The pistol is compatible with many different holster brands for the extra convenience of carrying.

The shooter-friendly handgun is both cost-efficient and customizable for a great pistol. The RPX9 Exodus has an MSRP of just $299 and comes with the company’s 5-year limited lifetime warranty, meaning the pistol is top-notch when it comes to reliability, durability, and functionality thanks to its Glock clone design.
