Largely based on the famed AK-47, the Saiga 12 is a gas-operated semi-auto shotgun, specifically engineered for tactical and combat shooting applications. The Saiga 12 features a long-stroke gas piston system to handle magnum shotgun loads, while the stamped steel receiver boasts a vertical magazine insertion system, engineered to eliminate loading issues attributed to the traditional AK “rock-and-lock” system. The precision-machined and oversized safety selector for lasting reliability and Saiga 12 sports a last round bolt hold-open mechanism, locking the bolt to the rear after the last round has been ejected for improved reliability and quick visual indication of an empty magazine or failure. Further, the Saiga 12 boasts an unregulated, fixed port gas system, engineered to cycle most 2.75” and 3” 12ga shotgun loads, without any adjustments or damage to the firearm. The 22.8” smooth bore barrel comes equipped with a traditional screw-on choke system.
