Chambered in .380 ACP, the Ruger® LCP Max® is a lightweight, double-stack, pocket-carry pistol, specifically engineered for personal defense applications. The first iteration of the LCP line of self-defense pistols, the LCP  features a durable, yet lightweight polymer frame with a durable, yet lightweight steel alloy slide and heavy recoil spring, while the robust slide release and reversible magazine release latch readily adapt to left-handed or small-framed shooters. The Secure Action™ fire-control system boasts a protected internal hammer and a bladed-safety trigger for enhanced safety and confident carry with a round in the chamber, and the heavy trigger system offers a clean break and positive reset. Further, the LCP comes equipped with an integral hammer stop, designed to prevent the hammer from contacting the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled for safe carry without inhibiting performance or sacrificing reliability.
