About the Ruger Gunsite Scout
Introduced at the 2011 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, the Ruger® Gunsite Scout is a feature-rich bolt-action rifle, trusted by hunters, competitive target shooters, collectors, and long-range tactical shooters alike. Fed from an AICS-style detachable box magazine, the Gunsite Scout rifle boasts a built-in, accurate sighting system with an adjustable ghost ring rear aperture sight and a non-glare, protected blade front sight for quick, intuitive target acquisition, while the forward-mounted 1913 Picatinny rail readily accepts a variety of red dot sights and riflescopes for enhanced reliability and improved accuracy in any environment. The free-floated, cold hammer-forged steel alloy barrel provides exceptional accuracy and lasting field service, and the steel receiver comes equipped with proprietary, precision-machined scope mounts, machined directly to the receiver for additional scope mounting options and unparalleled stability in any hunting or tactical environment. To top it off, the Gunsite Scout features a non-rotating, controlled round feed extractor features a fixed blade-type ejector, engineered to positively eject spent casings as the bolt is moved fully rearward for smooth feeding and ejection performance for rapid bolt manipulation and reduced risk of feeding and ejection-related failures.
