Originally imported from Turkey by Century Arms® and released to the American civilian market in 2012, the Canik® TP9® Semi-Auto Pistol is an affordable, yet reliable polymer-framed, striker-fired centerfire pistol series, chambered in the renowned 9mm Luger (9x19mm) cartridge. Though it is relatively new to the market, the Canik TP9 has quickly become one of the most celebrated and trusted economy-priced striker-fired pistols in the world with the SF model even landing a spot as a finalist for the official sidearm of the Danish Army, though it eventually lost to the Sig Sauer® P320 X — but that’s a story for another day.
