Beretta 92 Billenium Magazines

About the Beretta 92 Billenium Pistol
The Beretta® 92 Billenium is the collector’s dream pistol, delivering the Beretta-quality performance and match-grade accuracy in a beautiful, yet reliable package. First designed in 1975 and launched in 1976, the Beretta® 92 is an iconic service pistol, built around a unique open-slide, SA/DA design. Regarded as one of the most reliable double-stack semi-auto pistols in the world, the Beretta 92 is the civilian model of the famed M9 service pistol, used by military personnel (prior to being replaced by the Sig Sauer® M17/M18) and law enforcement agencies worldwide, and the Billenium is all that and more.

Manufactured as a limited edition with only 2,000 units ever made, the Billenium features an exclusive steel frame with a special satin/polished nickel-alloy-based finish. For exceptional durability and a one-of-a-kind look and feel. The widened slide offers a bit of extra for better stability and improved control, while the special serrations and improved grip area deliver quick, intuitive slide manipulation. Front and rear sights are dovetailed into the slide for superior stability, quick installation, and speedy removal, and the rear sight is fully adjustable for windage. The competition-tuned SAO trigger system ensures superior reliability, enhanced accuracy, and speedy follow-up shots in combat and competition environments, and the durable, yet lightweight carbon fiber grip panels feature a thin layer of soft‑touch anti‑slip material for superior wear and abrasion resistance. Better yet, the Billenium comes equipped with a reversible extended magazine release and an ambidextrous thumb safety for reliable control and safe handling with both right- and left-handed shooters.

What is a Single-Action/Double-Action Trigger System? What about an “SAO” System?
Single-action/Double-action pistols allow shooters to fire the pistol by either pulling the hammer back with their thumb or racking the slide before pulling the trigger (single-action), or by simply pulling the trigger and forcing the hammer to pull itself back prior to striking the firing pin (double-action).

Just as the name indicates, “single-action” means pulling the trigger does one action: releasing the hammer on the firing pin, and the “double-action” system does two actions:  pulls the hammer back and releases the hammer on the firing pin. The single-action stage requires the hammer to be cocked (manually or mechanically) before firing, and offers a light, crisp pull, ensuring accurate shot placement and improved handling. A double-action pull, on the other hand, is much heavier and requires an intentional pull. With single-action/double-action pistols, the first trigger pull will be a double-action pull and much heavier. As the slide travels rearward, it will automatically cock the hammer, allowing you to fire with a light and crisp single-action pull with every shot thereafter, making the single-action/double-action system one of the most reliable and safest hammer-fired pistol designs in the world.

The SAO or “Single-Action-Only” trigger system, however, eliminates the double-action stage, and simply requires the hammer to be cocked (manually or mechanically) before firing, and offers a light, crisp pull, ensuring accurate shot placement and improved handling. SAO pistols offer an improved, lightweight trigger pull compared with double-action-only (DAO) and double-action/single-action triggers.
