Do we know that? Did it make the grade against the Hi-Point C9?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Watch the challenge in the video below. He puts the pistols through five tests to see which one wins. You may be surprised at which pistol won which challenges. We could all use a good giggle, right? Here is how that each fared on the range.<\/p>\n<h2>Glock 19 vs. Hi-Point C9 Challenge<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Bill Drill:<\/strong> 7 yards, 6 shots in two seconds. Winner: Glock, because it was more accurate and the Hi Point\u2019s sights were way off.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Indiana Jones Drill:<\/strong> Cover both guns with dirt, unearth them archaeologist-style, and try to fire. Winner: Glock for two reasons \u2013 it worked flawlessly, and the Hi Point jammed on each of the first three shots, including a double-feed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>50-yard shot:<\/strong> You might guess this one without looking. Glock won hands down, mostly because the Hi Point jammed on every attempted shot, most of which failed to fire.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Water Immersion:<\/strong> Put each gun in a tub of water, pull it out, and then immediately shoot. Winner: (hold your hats!) Hi Point! The Glock experienced one malfunction and the Hi Point none! (So you&#8217;re saying I have a chance&#8230;)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Throw at a Rock:<\/strong> Yes, you guessed it \u2013 he threw each gun at a boulder, then test fired. Then he threm them each again. Winner: Glock. The Hi Point pretty much quit working at this point, although he did manage one shot after quite a bit of coercion.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&#8220;Just because something is big and chunky and thick as hell, doesn&#8217;t make it a tank. In fact, everything is so thick due to the poor quality of metal that&#8217;s used on the Hi-Point C9. To be clear, guns are going to choke&#8230;what you should be looking out for \u2014 it&#8217;s not jam-specific, but rather parts breakage. The Hi-Point suffered very high parts breakage.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He goes on to say that the Hi-Point is adequate (barely) if that&#8217;s what the budget allows. Ballistically they&#8217;re about the same, but the most important thing is whether or not the user has enough practice and training.<\/p>\n<p>Check out all the rest of his comments in the video.
