Again. There are good reasons for that. This mighty mite 9mm offers excellent capacity, superior ergonomics, and a proven track record. The P365’s popularity means aftermarket options galore, including sights, optics, enhanced controls, barrels, slides, and more. So, here’s a sampling of available upgrades to make your P365 even better. I run a few of these, while several have been recommended to me. The VG2 only covers your trigger guard, but it snaps onto the Sig’s accessory rail for a positive fit. The holster installs and releases easily, and I insert the whole thing, pistol and holster, inside my waistband as a unit. It clips easily onto my belt. I have the Advanced Kit, which adds the RCS Claw, to leverage the pistol’s grip closer to my body while still allowing a clean draw. The VG2 offers great retention, but the draw is easy. I use the VG2 as often as I do the larger IncogX.

The Raven Concealment VanGuard 2 is about as minimal as a holster could get. Streamlight designed this light for subcompact carry pistols, so it’s small, slim, and lightweight. The aircraft-grade aluminum housing is only 1/8 of an inch wider than my gun and is snag-free. The TLR-7 Sub delivers 500 lumens and 5,000 candelas and only weighs 2.39 ounces. The light comes with easy-to-reach, ambidextrous high or low paddle switches. I chose the low switches because the high paddles protruded too far into the trigger guard for my taste.

The Streamlight TLR-7 is a true sub-compact design. [Photo: William Lawson]

Sig Sauer RomeoZero Micro-Reflex Red Dot

Most P365s are optic-ready, so adding a red dot is natural. The most natural is the Sig RomeoZero 1×24 since it was designed specifically for the P365. No adapter is needed. The RomeoZero features sturdy, weapons-grade polymer construction with side texture to match your P365’s grip. Mine came with an aluminum protective shroud. The RomeoZero has a 6 MOA dot with 8 brightness settings and Sig’s MOTAC (Motion Activated Illumination System) that activates the dot when it senses motion. I also appreciate the built-in backup rear notch that allows me to use my front sight if the battery dies. But the 20,000-hour battery life makes that unlikely.

Why look anywhere else when Sig designed the RomeoZero specifically for the P365? I’ve been running mine for about two years now, and I love it. I don’t love handgun optics, though I sometimes run them for product reviews, so the FT Bullseye is my P365XL’s everyday setup.

Meprolight designed the FT Bullseye for American shooters who are trained to focus on a handgun’s front sight. The green tritium is bright in all lighting conditions. I like that it naturally draws my eye to the sight. The sight will fit any P365 holster with no alterations. Just install and go. You may need a gunsmith to mount the FT Bullseye sight, depending on your skill and available tools. That was me, but it wasn’t a big deal. I just don’t own a sight pusher. This sight is one of the best accessories I’ve ever added to a gun.

If you don’t want an optic on your handgun, this Meprolight FT Bullseye might just be the custom sight for you! But heads up, you may need another holster, even though the Gas Pedal only increases the gun’s overall width by about 230 thousandths of an inch, per the Gas Pedal website.

The Gas Pedal provides a rest for your forward thumb, thus providing a more positive grip for better recoil control and follow-up shots. The Gas Pedal concept derives from competition pistols, but it’s easy to install with no gunsmithing needed. Available for right and left-handed shooters.

GoGun USA introduces a “gas pedal” for the P365 that really provides extra grip for the off-hand.
