Few firearms have been as iconic as John Browning’s M1911 .45 pistol, and today there is no shortage of “modern takes” on his classic design. Sig Sauer<\/a> has upped the game with its 1911-XFULL, which balances the traditional engineering and style of the century-old firearm with upgrades that include an ultra-low-profile direct-mount optic capability and XRAY3 Day\/Night sights that offer extreme sight picture visibility.<\/p>\n

The new Sig Sauer 1911-XSERIES is available in full-size 5-inch options, chambered in .45 ACP, with a 4.25-inch carry model coming this spring while optic-mounted models are coming soon.<\/p>\n

The pistols offer an adjustable flat blade trigger and custom G10 grip panels from LOK Grips and are further outfitted with a railed stainless-steel frame, ambidextrous safety, front and rear serrations, a removable metal magwell, and manual safety. A stylized carbon steel slide and a serrated front strap are among the upgraded features incorporated into the timeless platform.<\/p>\n

The 1911-XFULL is now available in three full-size 5-inch options.<\/p>\n
