Optics maker Vortex has expanded its line of HD spotting scopes with a new compact model just in time for the fall hunting season. It is designed for those who prefer to travel lightly.
The Viper HD 11-33×50 Spotting Scope is set to strike – as the light and compact scope is built on an Arca-Swiss compatible foot, which allows it to be mounted quickly yet be easily stowed away while it can attach to any 1/4-inch-20 thread screw mount plate to use with other style tripods. Weighing less than 28 ounces and less than a foot in length, it provides a tactical advantage without compromising portability.
Powered by a clear HD optical system, the scope offers dual focus knobs – with both fast and fine focus – for a precise view at the gun range or out in the field. The compact spotting scope also features an ocular lens, adjustable eyecup, adjustment rings, and an objective lens. It was designed with little maintenance required, other than periodic cleaning of the exterior lenses, and it is permanently lubricated, so no additional lubricant ever needs to be applied.
