Tisas, a premium supplier of 1911-style pistols, enters the competition shooting market with the introduction of their 1911 Match Pistol.
The company’s line of 1911’s, are already known for out of the box accuracy, but some customers were asking for a model better suited to competition shooting. Tisas responded with the 1911 Match model pistol. The new model has a number of upgrades to the Match model including having a forged stainless steel slide and frame that are hand lapped.
The stainless steel slide and full-sized frame hold the 5” 416R hammer forged barrel with an 11-degree crown. The full-length slide also has 20 LPI, or lines per inch, front and rear cocking serrations. The slide also features an LPA adjustable rear sight and front sight with serrations to keep the glare down.
The Tisas 1911 Match pistol also features an ambidextrous safety and a flared and lowered ejection port. The SS match trigger with over-travel helps round out the Match competition feel of the pistol. To round out the features of the 1911 Match pistol is an extended magazine release and a competition magwell.
