1791 Gun Leather makes a wide variety of holsters for a number of carry configurations, all of which are made of genuine leather, which is both functional and traditional. But 1791 also produces lines of gun belts to keep your shooting iron steady on the waist. New for 2024 is the Cobra Gun Belt 01, which dispenses with a traditional buckle for a quick-releasing Cobra buckle.
The Cobra Gun Belt is constructed of robust 14-ounce cowhide dyed in a choice of classic brown or stealth black. It is a full 1.5 inches wide to take advantage of standard belt loops while being thick enough not to waffle or bend under the weight of a holstered pistol.
Unlike the traditional buckle and loops as seen on the standard 1791 gun belt, adjusting the Cobra Gun Belt is something you only have to do once, by removing two Chicago Screws from the belt and pulling the belt around the waist for the proper tension before resetting the screws. The heart of the Cobra Gun Belt 01 incorporates an AustiAlpin Cobra buckle, which features two halves that meet and two release switches for a secure hold. This is a faster arrangement than the traditional buckle, and it is also flatter, which makes the Cobra Belt ideal for Waistband Carry arrangements.
The new 1791 Gun Leather Cobra Gun Belt 01 line comes in the two aforementioned colors and is available in sizes 30 to 54, with an MSRP of $99.99.
