Mack Quinn Jr., formerly of Bushmaster Firearms, continues to innovate after over fifty years in the industry through Hydra Weaponry out of Hermon, Maine. Quinn and his team have developed such products as the Hydra 15, a fully modular AR platform that features a quick-change barrel and interchangeable magwells to accommodate different magazines and calibers. New for 2024 is the MARCK-15 H-17 modular rifle designed to take readily available 9mm Glock magazines.
The MARCK-15 is the latest in several PCC options offered by Hydra that take advantage of Quinn’s modular vision. The same 16-inch barreled carbine is available as the H-17 in 40 S&W and the H-21, which accepts Glock 20 and 21 magazines and is chambered in either 10mm Auto or .45 ACP. The H-17 is now available in 9mm and takes readily available Glock 17/19 magazines, allowing Glock users to share magazines and magazine parts between a long gun and a handgun. To compound that versatility, the Hydra-17 in 9mm can also take single-stack Glock 48 magazines in addition to the traditional double stacks.

The heart of the rifle is the Hydra Modular Lower receiver, removable magazine well, and Hydra Quick Change barrel. The rifle itself has a 16-inch barrel and blowback action with typical AR-style controls. The all-aluminum M-Lok or KeyMod handguard features an underside rail for mounting lights and a single sighting plane to install your choice of optics or iron sights. The remainder is filled out with an ergonomic B5 Systems pistol grip and telescoping buttstock.
The new MARCK-15 H-17 is available for order with a base MSRP of $1,399.99.
