Taurus Introduces its First 10mm Handgun

Since its founding more than four decades ago, Georgia-based Taurus has established itself as a maker of quality firearms at an affordable price. Yet in all those years, it had never offered a handgun chambered in 10mm – at least not until now.

Just in time for Christmas, the company introduced its Taurus TH10 to its hammer-fired line of compact and full-size performance pistols, which have already included models in 9mm Luger and .40 S&W.

The TH10 boasts many features seen in other handguns from Taurus, including the unique Combination Safety/de-cocker lever, which allows users to have the flexibility to carry in either hammer-down or cocked-and-locked positions. This innovative feature is meant to enhance the overall safety profile of the firearm, catering to the preferences of a diverse range of shooters.

The initial trigger pull is smooth double-action, while subsequent follow-up shots break cleanly in single-action.

The Taurus TH10 is also equipped with a premium stainless steel barrel to ensure exceptional precision for both seasoned marksmen and those looking to elevate their shooting experience while the new pistol was designed specifically for the potent 10mm caliber, incorporating a recoil spring and guide rod meticulously crafted to optimize performance. That custom design was aimed at providing a reliable and consistent operation, contributing to the overall durability and longevity of the firearm.

While chambered for 10mm, the Taurus TH10 still offers a 15-round capacity, providing users with ample firepower in a single magazine – and thus ideal for various applications, including personal defense and competitive shooting. The new pistol is also equipped with industry-standard sight dovetails, allowing users to easily install common aftermarket sights, tailoring the firearm to individual preferences and shooting requirements.
