Strasser RS 700 Rifles with Remington 700 Compatibility

Just like with peanut butter and jelly, a great combo can make all the difference. So when Strasser updated its very popular straight-pull bolt action hunting rifle to be compatible with an even more popular Remington 700 series of parts, it was a match made in heaven.

Owners of the Strasser 700 rifles have long had a problem finding aftermarket support due to the availability of proprietary parts. This has changed now with the Strasser RS 700 series of rifles that are compatible with Remington 700 series parts, including the stocks, barrels, triggers, and recoil lugs just to name a few.

Available in three configurations, the Strasser RS 700 series are available chambered in 6.5×47 Lapua, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, and .308 Winchester. Not only that but there are multiple barrel lengths and thread pitches to choose from to further customize the end-user options.

One option for configuration for the RS 700 is the Legend. The Legend comes standard with a walnut stock with a rosewood finish and an integrated M-LOK rail in the forearm. It is fed from a three-round flush-fit magazine and has a stock weight of 1.2 kg.

The next configuration option is the AVA-Tahr. The Strasser RS 700 AVA-Tahr has a standard Strasser synthetic stock in graphite black or forest green. On the stock is an adjustable cheekpiece operated with a push-button and also has an M-LOK integrated. It has 7 different buttplate options and a stock weight of 1.1 kg.

The last configuration option is the XRS Chassis. This version comes standard with a high-quality XRS stock that has an adjustable cheekpiece as well. Like the other options, it has the integrated M-LOK rail, but this option has a 5-round polymer magazine. The XRS chassis configuration has a stock weight of 1.9 kg.

As stated previously, all versions of the RS 700 series are compatible with the Remington 700 short action parts and accessories including the barrels, Accuracy International Chassis System (AICS) items, and two-piece scope mounts.

The Strasser RS 700 rifles also have Timney Elite Hunter triggers and can be configured for either left- or right-handed shooters. All versions of the Strasser RS 700 series rifles have a starting price in Europe of 3,302 euros.

Patti Miller is one of the most awesome females in the tactical/firearm (or any) industry. Imagine a tall, hawt, dangerous Laura Ingalls Wilder type with cool hair and a suppressed blaster and you'll be getting the idea. What's interesting is that in addition to being a willing brawler and intrepid adventuress, she's also an Ent/Ogier level gardener and a truly badass baker.
